Uh oh somebody got in trouble!

I was craving cheddar broccoli salad from the walmart deli, and was also in need of qtips and more mouth wash so I decided to go out to our local walmart and pick up a few things. It was when I was at the register that I first saw the cop. He looked very tense and was walking towards the customer service. A few minutes later an announcement came on the loud speaker. "Attention Walmart Customers would the owner of a Black Volkswagon license plate number XXX-XXX please exit the store immediately." Well that does not sound ominous at all does it? I think if anything, the wording would serve to frighten the customers more than anything. Personally I would have told a white lie and said they left their lights on, or their car was on fire! Well when I exited the building and got ready to leave, I noticed two (maybe three) police cars surrounding an area towards the front of the parking lot. Uh oh somebody was in trouble. Not sure what though! I Would've taken photographs myself (as I am pretty certain this is a State that allows you to video police and there is nothing they can do about it) but the person I was with is very sensitive to that kind of stuff...

I like Cheddar broccoli but prefer it without qtips or mouth wash.

Yes it definitely wasn't a good combination. I think next time I'll leave out the mouthwash.

I love a good gander at what's going on when I see police involvement. I am not nosey, merely curious. :)

I was more curious because the police officer I saw coming in to walmart seemed very tense. More tense than what I would think to see from a police officer.

Let's just talk about the broccoli, I had it yesterday. Beef broccoli in oyster sauce. Let's leave the cops though

@ScribbledAdNauseum I would love to try that recipe Oyster sauce has sweet and salty taste , if you like chinese foods, that's one of their famous seasoning, so, I am sure you have the idea how does it tastes

@jaiho2009 I am not so sure about that. I've been watching two expat vloggers who now live in China. One of the vlogers lived in NY until he moved to China. He says Westerners idea of Chinese food is completely different than what is actually made in China. I just found a recipe for the walmart salad. I'm not sure how similar it would be, but here's the link to it if you ever wanted to try it.
This salad is very similar to the deli salad you can buy at Walmart with rotini pasta, cheddar cheese, broccoli, and a yummy sweet-tangy dressing.

Can you believe I"ve never had oysters? I don't know how it would taste or if i'd like it. Is it salty? The cheddar broccoli pasta salad has raw onions, broccoli, cooked (and cooled) pasta, cheese and yeah I think that's it. It's good.

Oh wow - busted over the loud speaker! Yah, they could have done it a bit more subtly . . . not only does it scare the customers, but it could also trigger the owner of that car - and who knows what that person could do !

@ScribbledAdNauseum I would think too that this would give the owner of the car a signal to try to sneak out the back door! Is LivePD a cop show on tv? I used to watch those kinds of shows, but haven't in a long time. There's a lot of stuff happening out there . . . and obviously there is enough material out there to create a show over what cops have to deal with. But scary to think this is our world !

@much2say Exactly! He could have easily went out through the garden center.. . Not sure if that's actually what he did as I didn't get a good look at the situation. Yes LivePD is on on the weekends, I think A&E.

Probably best to leave the camera in your bag and simply walk on by...

Or drive by.. Yes you are right. Whether or not it's allowed or just depends on the situation, you never know how the suspect is going to act.

@pgntwo I suppose just as well as a citizen standing nearby and filming. For some reason your mention of dash cam footage made me think of something that happened in Scotland a few years ago. I can't recall how I came across it, but I watched this man, his wife and child who had either been collided with or otherwise inconvenienced in traffic. I can't recall the full video but I think the outcome wasn't what the complaining party wanted.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Many seem to have dashcam devices fitted these days - not sure how that would be treated if it caught such activity as you drove by...

Every state should do this.

I am not exactly sure which do and which don't to be honest. I was talking to an old co worker once and he's the one that told me NC is one of the states that allow it. I agree though, it would be a good idea if civilians were allowed to film officers, provided it isn't disturbing their duties.

Three police cars? It could be standard procedure to have three but I don't know. Three cars makes me think that it might have been more trouble.

@ScribbledAdNauseum could go either way. Depends if a person is reported as violent etc.
