Have you set your totally arbitrary MyLot goal for June 2017?

I got off to a really slow start on MyLot this month and wasn't even sure I'd reach payout, much less my usual goal of the old payout minimum, or the totally arbitrary goal I usually set late in the Month. But I rallied late, for no particular reason (most people continue to avoid my posts, but I interact a lot), and will surely reach the old payout minimum. I don't think I'm going to set a goal beyond that. I have set aside some music gig money, and have moved the delivery date of my MyLot Porsche (or was it a Maserati?) from 2717 to 2715. Anyone want to take a ride with me?

I achieved my goal. To get back on here again. I aim low. Rarely disappointed.

I don't generally drive sports cars, as I'm a saddle- and guitar-hauling kind of person. But I like the way BMWs drive. Porshes and Maseratis look super-slick, though. I think I'd be afraid to test-drive a Maserati, much as I'd be afraid to play a LLoyd Loar Gibson mandolin.

@TheHorse Lol! I didn't want a Maserati, because it has to be driven with paddles. I still haven't driven our new car, and I love my sports car to bits!

I think it was a Porsche, but I am not sure. In 2715 it would be very hard for me to bend to get inside a sport car, why not a Rolls Royce? It's easier to get inside one of those cars.

@TheHorse Absolutely, finally my husband gave up with sport cars, after he had a back problem he realized how hard it is to go in and out of those things.

OK, I'll put that on my list. At that age I might be less intrigued by sports cars, anyway.

I hit the minimum a few weeks back and then hit the goal I set for myself earlier this week. I try to comment on your posts whenever I see them pop up but I don't always catch them. I'll pencil you in on the calendar for a Porsche ride

@TheHorse I am a young vampire, only 40. That sounds like a really long time when you put it like that. I do not think I want to be a vampire anymore.

Now that is some goal lol... I think that I might like to have a castle in Yorkshire so that I can do a bit more family tree climbing... and a castle... that just seems to fit. So in 2717... that is where you will find me... ;)

@TheHorse This sounds harmless. But I've read so often on this site what goals people set for themselves for a certain amount of times that I can't hear it anymore. As if one couldn't do something just for the fun of it.

For me, it's kind of a joke. I also do things like guess what time I'll get to my friend's house when I'm driving. Or guess what time it is based on the sun. Or have "Altoid races" with the kids I work with, where the "winner" is the one who still has some left when the other's has dissolved. Just simple ways of amusing myself during the day. I see it as an "everything in life can be interesting if you make it so" trait.

I enjoy my time here, so no target to aim for. Why I am here is the same reason why I am in life except that I choose to be here! I am more of an observer at both places, life in general and myLot, but chip in when required. You have at least set a date for your myLot Porsche, even advanced it by few years. I will be watching closely whether you are achieving it! siva

Thanks! I'm kind of cheating my including music gig money in my MyLot Porsche fund, but hey, it's a Porsche! Like you, I sometimes like to observe, or just be. Here, I'm pretty conversational, but sometimes, I just sit.

@TheHorse We should sit still often and listen for the soul to speak and then we will know our true calling. We tend to get carried away by outside din and then blindly react. Porsche of 2715 would be unrecognisable now with changes happening in geometric progression in the auto sector the driving pleasure will be gone soon with self-driving cars just across the corner - siva
