Addicted to Libraries

We've had rain off and on all day. It was raining when we woke up this morning and it was a dreary day. We had to take books back to the library so we browsed around and found another load of books to bring home. I don't remember who it was but one of you mentioned The Lord Of The Flies. I read it years ago but I wanted to refresh my memory. The book was smaller than i anticipated so I should finish it quickly. We both found interesting books so if it rains again tomorrow we have interesting books to read. We have oodles of books unread on our book shelves but we keep going to the library. We have several libraries so we go from one to the other. We are addicted to libraries. Do you visit libraries?

Not anymore I don't. I have no use for the libraries anymore except maybe to get some peace and quiet. Altho around here even the libraries are no longer quiet.

I used to before I started buying them because I was forever returning them late. Now the only time I go to the library is for our Writer's Guild meeting that meets once a month in the boardroom. Enjoy your new stack of books.

You are likely using your time writing rather than reading. I am enjoying mine, or will when I have time.

That's about how often we go. It takes that long to read our books and sometimes we have to recheck them.

We often go to the library to borrow a lot of books. I really like the service from the public libraries here. Actually this morning my son is a volunteer in the public library nearby our home. I know he will also borrow a lot of books after that

Oh, for some rain. Lord of the Flies is on AMC or TCM this month. I used to visit libraries all of the time. Now I go on line. I dream of having a library like in the old Victorian mansions. I'd love to have that many books.

I thought all libraries were quiet. I've never been in a noisy library. The people there aren't doing their job. Anyone in our libraries that were noisy would be put out quickly.

I haven't done any book reading in years although I was a bookworm when I was young. I use to browse used books stores. They were little more than hole in the wall establishments. Nobody minds you and you can leisurely scan the books until you find something you like. Then you try to bargain the price down. The lord of the flies is a good read.

I love used book used book stores although we don't have any nearby. We go to Half Priced Books. It sells new books but at a lower price. Someone gave Us a gift card from there and we piled up more books than we had room for. .

I never want to get rid of books and that's a problem. I buy books from book stores and thrift stores. I do occasionally carry books back to the thrift store or put them in a give away box. But it's like pulling teeth
