Whats your definition for a Wonderful Weekend

When I was much youngest, weekends used to be a moment of fun, a time when I get to hang out with both my friends and family. But its hasn't been so growing up to the man I have become; my weekends are there only for me to meet up with left over work from the office and few chores, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one living this kind of life. What's your own definition for a wonderful weekend

Mine would be either going to the beach or the forests or mountains. I'd like to go camping but no chance of that.

I wish I had the fun you refers as little. But I'm happy you aren't living a busy life like I do here. Do enjoy your day.

@TiarasOceanView I sincerely wish things hasn't gone this bad; if would have been fun if we all lived with our families in one bid compound.

For me, traveling to another city will be a wonderful weekend.

I work at home and I work everyday. I don't do weekend plans anymore unless it's family.

I think most of us feel the same, we are all living in a rat race. I would love to be able to just go to the beach, camping, fishing. Go to the mountains or something. My dream would be to live off grid more or less somewhere. lol

Ideally if I would like to get away from the city with close family to some place in the mountains or somewhere quite where we could relax , go for long walks and come back rejuvenated..

I think there needs to be a kind of 'relativity' there: If you have a boring- or punishing-job 5-days-a-week, any weekend without boredom or punishment is great! I'm 'on weekend' all the time, so I don't really think of 'vacations/fun-things/etc.' as 'weekend-things.'

I definitely like getting outside and getting some nature in with friends or family.

As a kid during the summertime everyday might have been thought of as a perfect day. As we age we acquire more and more responsibility until cores, tasks, or obligations take up most of our time. Perfection might be freedom from all those distractions. My perfect day is at the beach reading a magazine or doing a crossword puzzle. Such a simple thing I know, but consider myself very fortunate to be able to do this on occasion. This simple quote helps me with the burdens we sometimes feel we have- "The most simple things can bring the most happiness." The quote is from Izabella Scorupco from brainy quotes. Or as I try to tell myself- Keep it simple stupid Hope you find a wonderful weekend in the near future. DB

My best weekend would be doing nothing, on my couch, watching a movie with a huge bowl of popcorn and a jug of iced tea. Vape on my left, my wife on my right...
