I noticed lots of people take selfies and post them here. I, for one, will never do that. Why you may ask?
I don't like to show off my facial flaws
I'd die of embarrassment if I had lipstick on my teeth
Sometimes I look as if I have a double chin
I believe selfies are for the young, and I'm no youngster.
Do you feel comfortable taking selfies or posting them?
My grandson and granddaughter think nothing of them.
Btw, the cable show of my granddaughter's Sunday performance is private. My son told me the Games will be filming her skate and uploading immediately online and sharing it with him. He will share the link with me as soon as he gets it. Hopefully, I will be able to share it with you. She arrived safely in La Guardia Airport from camp is is now on the way to Michigan!!!!

We kids have no really good pictures of ourselves as yougnsters as our mother always without fail managed to take a shot and not one of us had heads! So my attempt at a selfie as you can probably understand manages to be stupid like the top of my head only or my chin! I feel very uncomfortable taking a selfie!

I think everyone should take selfies! Despite them being good or "bad". I like seeing peoples flaws and also what makes them so obviously beautiful! No sense being embarrassed about yourself, its your self!

While I have posted a lot of pictures that I have taken, I keep the selfies to my self. I thought that was what selfie meant. 
It will be interesting to see your granddaughters video, if we are allowed to see it.

Lol! I've taken a few selfies and immediately deleted them. They are probably out in cyberspace and will come back to haunt me!
I'm sure her mom will try her best to take a video on her phone. The quality is never as good, but it is better than nothing. I'm getting very nervous for my little ice princess now.

That is such a cute photo! They are chuckling away, Dianne ! I hope we'll be able to see her skate if at all possible. A selfie would depend on my mood, sometimes I think, ick, I look blah! You're stunning @DianneN and could take a beautiful selfie if you so wish.

Would you believe we were out having dinner in NYC when they started with the crazy selfie photos? They did it while waiting for dinner to arrive. To top it off, my granddaughter texted the photo to me. lol
I'm hoping to see her program. I'm glad we didn't go to Michigan. I'm a nervous wreck for her. I know she has had two full practices already just to know where the judges will be, where to enter, etc. she will only have a quick warmup tomorrow before she she does her performance. My son said the competition is very stiff. She may be the youngest. Omg! Be still my heart!

I've taken a couple selfies, very difficult to do with a regular camera, but I needed to do it for my glasses which I ordered online. Otherwise, I don't do selfies either.
Oh darn. I was really looking forward to seeing her skate. I was about to ask you what time it was. I hope she does very well, which I expect she will.

That must be difficult to do with a regular camera. However, I understand why it has to be done.
I'm a nervous wreck for her. I know she will do her best. That's what really matters. The competition will be stiff. There are many girls much older than she is at the same skill level. They have the edge in age and height. She's just a babe on ice. Hopefully I'll be able to put up a video.

My son took the picture for me, but it was too dark. So I tried. I had to be able to get the eyes just right so they could measure the pupil for the bifocals. It took several tries as I found I tend to hang my head a bit to the right, so the eyes weren't straight. It was a relief to finally get the eyes straight and have a good picture of the eyes. My glasses turned out perfect.

Selfies are usually done by 30 and unders. But some older folk do take them.
Honestly, if you dont mind others taking your picture, then you wont mind a selfie. Its the same just by you.

I am very critical of my facial flaws as well. I try to take selfies and delete most of them. There are a few that I will share though. But they have to pass my approval first.

The only selfie of me, you get is my profile picture The rest are just for fun on my phone. I prefer if someone can snap a photo, if they can't then it's selfie mode but I don't like to post them too much.

i sometimes take selfies but i don't show them on FB. i just like to see if my face gets thin again when i lose weight.
