A steak is calling me.

I only had a cup of coffee for breakfast. So now I´m very hungry.
I have a steak (really 2 small steaks) ready to be grilled. And I could caramelize some onions, fry an egg, cook some frozen corn, cook a potato. Those are just plans.
What would you do? I could also make some rice. It goes with everything.What are you having for lunch?

@marguicha When I'm alone and cooking steak, my first thought is to include an egg, also! That is probably one of my favorite meals:)

If you get your grill going you could put the corn and potato in some foil to cook on the grill.I'd add some butter and afew herbs. By the time the steak is done the corn and potatoes should be too.

We had little steaks the other night . . . I sauteed some cut up potatoes with onions . . . and a side salad of simple greens. I do have to agree rice goes with everything!

I finally cooked some potatoes, but could not wait. So I had my steak with fried onions and cooked corn with mayo.

Before i met my now-husband I ate steak once in a while. Now, I eat it pretty often and loving it. Sometimes, we make it ourselves at home instead of going to a steakhouse.
When we make steak at home we make it in a Lodge cast iron skillet or Lodge cast iron reversible grill. And we sometimes fry shiitake mushrooms and onions to go along with the steak and then fry up some sweet potatoes or regular potatoes. And have a pickle on the side. Delicious.

It would be calling me too if I had any steak.
Eggs and salad and that is it and August is a bad money month usually.
