Are you happy to see summer leave?

When I lived in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania I use to love the 4 seasons but living here in Florida, I never see the changes during the year. The summers do get a lot hotter than up north but I think that is the only difference. We really do not need clothes for all the seasons but I like to change my wardrobe during the year. I still saved some of my clothes from up north but if I don't visit up there, the clothes will not come out of my closet. Do you remember the saying that goes something like this, Be careful of what you wish for as sometimes the wishes come true and we won't like the results. I know that is not the exact saying but you get the drift, right?

We moved to enjoy a longer summer, not as long as you have in FL, but better than NJ's weather for sure.

@ramapo17 We have, unfortunately, 4 seasons here. I didn't want to go further south due to hurricanes.

@AbbyGreenhill This is a little bit to much for me. It is like no beginning and no end to the year. Last year we did go to New Jersey during the holidays which was so nice.

Here in Southern California, we joke that we don't have seasons either. In the past, it has felt like summer all year, but things have been changing. We got a wet winter for once, and spring/summer hasn't been terribly hot (in my opinion anyway) . . . but it's still possible the hottest days haven't hit us quite yet. I guess I have all my clothes ready at any time of the year - it can get unpredictable.

@ramapo17 I do know what you mean. I don't have a lot of winter items - because I don't need them. But there are some warm outfits I would just love to wear simply because I don't get the chance to wear them too often.

@much2say you sound like me. I wear the same clothes over and over. They are the most comfortable.

Being it is mostly hot here in Florida I hardly ever wear long pants but I love it when I get a little cold and have to wear them. Seems stupid, I know but I like to feel different seasons.

I wish I could afford to go to Florida during the long cold snowy winter months as the older I get the more I hate winter. I think I would miss all the different seasons if I lived in Florida year round like you do but I guess you get used to where you live. Pennsylvania says hi

This summer was so nice that I really am not sure about seeing winter. I do not like heat but I consider we had a very mild one. I will however be glad to see the fall my fav time of year.

@jstory07 Wow, that is way to hot for me. I would rather have the cold temperatures I had in the northeast. Sometimes it would go below zero and I use to leave my house to drive an hour to work at 3am. It was very cold.

That's what I love about living here, the four seasons. It's so much fun to watch each one take shape. I'm glad summer is coming to an end and fall is almost here. Yes, I know that saying, and I've been wishing for a cooler summer for years, and this year, got my wish.

@just4him I can put them up down here to but it isn't the same as the northeast where we really witnessed the changing of the seasons.

I always hate to see summer come to an end especially this year when I didn't get to enjoy it like I normally do. I am just starting to feel better and it is almost over. It makes me feel sad.

I don't mind the hot weather. In fact I prefer to summer more than winter When it is winter, I will complain about how cold it is. Summer is still nice for us to have more outdoor activities, especially swimming

Yeah, be careful what you wish for. Summer is my favorite season because I get to go to the beach and just enjoy the sea breeze and swimming. But when I'm not at the beach or an island, I really don't like summer because it's just extremely hot.

Yes, I remember something like that. And I love summer or well... use to, when I went out and did stuff like fairs, theme parks, and spending most of last summer with my 3 little cousins / nieces and nephew. But this summer wasnt even that hot, nevermind not having much to do. So yeah may as well want fall and winter now.
