And We are Back!

What a super weekend my husband and I had this weekend in Boston, Massachusetts! I'm happy to say there were no disasters to ruin our weekend anniversary getaway this trip. He treated me like a queen!
As always, the sites, sights, shopping, and food were outstanding. The photo was taken Saturday evening at Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian restaurant, a restaurant my hubby wanted to try in June. It was excellent, but not quite as outstanding as Marius in Rio de Janeiro.
We slept late this morning, packed, and walked to Finagle a Bagel on Boylston Street, another Sunday morning tradition. It was such a glorious morning that we ate under an umbrella on the patio outdoors. I fed most of my bagel to the poor little birds, that knew a sucker when they saw one, to the amusement of a cute little toddler.
We had a smooth and traffic free ride home in our new car, listening to music, comedy, then CNN. We made it home in 2 hours and 15 minutes.
It's good to be home, and best of all, no cooking tonight and I have my Doodles to love!

I am trying to get out of it no chance as yet.

@lovinangelsinstead21 I offered to cook. I feel a need to eat something healthy after all the food we consumed over the weekend.

@DianneN Yah - she had a great time! I guess they rented a car and she said driving in and around the underwater tunnel area was tricky. She mentioned touring mansions and going to Martha's Vineyard. I'd like to go there myself someday!

@much2say She really lived dangerously driving in Boston! Crazy drivers and roads that circle out and away from wherever you are. We just have the valet park it and don't use ourvcar until we leave. We walk or take cabs. lol. I've never been to Martha's Vineyard, but have a friend who has a summer house there. I'd love to go, too. We should meet up there next summer. lol

Sounds like a good quickie get away. I went to a Brazilian Steakhouse once,,a chain called Churrasscuo or something like that. Basically you get all the roasted meat you want for a fixed price. It was pretty good!

@DianneN I'm so glad you are both home safe:) Traffic heading north last weekend, was terrible! We buy most of our groceries in Saginaw, but Thursdays are a lot better for shopping.

@DianneN Jay loves to go grocery shopping! While I get frustrated trying to select food items and would rather stay at home:( He talks to almost everyone. It takes a long time to get out of those stores and he enjoys it! lol
