Hard to believe

The summer is almost over and it's hard to believe that my eldest will start school a week from Friday. It'll only be a half day for her. The following Tuesday will be her first full day and my two youngest will start at their new daycare that same day too. I will admit that I am excited about, but also a little sad. My kids are growing up. Starting something new. I am sad to see them grow up, go off to school/daycare, and to see the summer end. What also makes me sad is that not only is my eldest starting kindergarten this year, but in a few months we'll be registering my second daughter for kindergarten. Man, does time fly by.

Yes, summer flew by. Thankfully for me as it was mostly bad. Your kids must be close in age?

I'm sorry to hear that your summer wasn't good. Hopefully you have better times ahead. Yes, my kids are close in age. They're all about 18 months difference in age. My son was born a few months after my eldest's 3rd birthday.

@Courtlynn It's not always easy, but it's still nice to have them close in age.

It is indeed hard to believe. Summer is almost over here, too but I donĀ“t feel much of the summer this year. Time flies so fast and one day you wake up and your children are grown ups.

Time just flew by. It's hard to believe how big my kids are getting. It's going by a little too fast for me, but there's not much I can do about it.

The days of summer are truly limited now. I am trying to do as many outdoor activities as possible. This weekend we are taking our granddaughter to one of the local fairs. Usually we just walk around and look at the displays for about an hour and head out. This year we will be bringing Little Miss on some of the rides suitable for her age. Also seeing the livestock as she loves farm animals. There are puppet shows and other events to entertain her as well. Should be a fun time!

@dodo19 we can still do things outdoors when it is cold out. However, do we want to freeze our butt off?

@ElusiveButterfly I know I don't want to freeze my butt off, and I know I'm not the only one.

It definitely sounds like a good plan. We definitely have to enjoy the days that we have left. Soon, it'll be too cold to do things outside.

Time does fly by so that is why we have to make the best of each day. Now you will be getting papers coming home with your daughter showing her school work. I used to get excited about that when my sons started school.

We really do have to enjoy every little moment as much as we can. It'll be interesting to get all those papers about my daughter's school work. It's a new chapter in her life. I'm glad that I get to enjoy it.

It's crazy how fast time goes! I cannot believe my oldest is in 6th grade now. That doesn't even seem possible! I hope your kids have a great school year. =)

The time flies by so quickly. It's scary how fast it goes and how fast they grow up. I'm sure mine will have a great year, and I hope yours do as well.

Yes it does. When I talked to my granddaughter, she said her oldest will be going to PreK this year. Time does not stand still.

@dodo19 Yes, it would be nice to hold onto some things a little longer, like our child's early years.

Yes..Time flies so fast but colorful and just wonderful..One thing I remember on my childhood time was the busy days in preparing our things for school, feeling excited having new things to use at school, wondering who will be our teachers are, meeting again those school friends and new ones..It is really nice being a kid

It really sad because your baby before is now a student. They do something that there not do before. And they meet new friends there. Like me I don't know what I feel if my baby son is growing up soon
