Another Writing Site?

I was tagged yesterday in a group page by a writing friend in fb. I think she thought that I am a member of Steemit. What is Steemit? I have no idea. In that fb group, the commenters were talking about how much money they have received already. Much Money!
I am not thinking of joining because I have lots on my own sites besides HP to write. I am not into short term money earning but on a long term one where I can trust the writing platform like here at Mylot.
Have you heard about Steemit? Are you a member there?
Anyway, time flies so fast and last Friday, I saw already Christmas cakes and cookies in the supermarket. The sun is shining here and I am at home. Enjoy your new week Mylotters.

I am not going to join, I have read that all content on Steemit is highly censored and centralized. You post content and people decide if they like it or not. Depending on how ‘popular’ the content is, you get paid. I would say that this leaves space to manipulation.

Some stores have already had the Christmas decorations a few months ago. Business must have been bad 
for them to do that! (Sad isn't it, another year almost gone... )

I think I signed up months ago but they did not pay through paypal and at that time they wanted a bank account, that is a huge NO NO. I was tagged in that convo too.
I think you are like me and not jumping in this time at all. I need to get into hubs, I think I could fit in, do you think so?

I didn't know that they won't pay through PayPal @andriaperry. Ops! That's a no go for me too because I don't give my bank account. Yes, I think we are the same. We have experienced a lot of not being not paid that is why we are cautious now. Yes, you fit in hubs writing. I will send you referral link through message.
Update: Sorry Andria. I just know that the referral link is retired in HP.

@lovebuglena Me, too except the Amazon associates as I have not filled it up yet. I have just started this week in Amazon UK. These 3 are trustworthy sites. Well, I hope.

Not even Labor Day and already i see Halloween stuff and Thanksgiving stuff. Not sure I've seen any Christmas stuff yet but wouldn't be surprised if I did.
