Meeting @BelleStarr again, this time in Niagara On The Lake

A message on myLot last week told me an old friend from this site that I was lucky enough to meet with in Florida a couple years ago was going to be in my area.
@BelleStarr (29241) her husband and another friend were traveling through New York State and coming to Canada to see the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. She wanted to meet me in Niagara On The Lake and I was delighted to do that. I also delivered art to the store in that town too. We decided to meet at the store.
I was standing at the window of the store just helping out the woman who was working it yesterday, she had to leave the store for a minute to get her lunch. I was watching the people walk by and noticed someone walked up to the window and was staring at me...
And then the smiles showed up, we were looking at each other and the light bulb went off over our heads... We had only met once before and it was a long time ago but I doubt either of us had changed much.
Belle came in the store followed by her husband and friend and there were hugs and kisses.. They checked out both of the two sides of the store and Belle found several things she couldn't live without... glasses for one, her glasses had broken and we fixed them with tape but it didn't last long.... She can tell you about the other things she bought and of course she bought one of my slate art too.
We decided to go to The Prince of Wales Hotel for lunch and enjoyed a few hours catching up with interesting conversations. Not to mention a delicious lunch.
We passed dessert because on our way to the hotel we passed a bakery so on the way back to our cars we stops for sweets...
And then the sky opened up and it was Niagara Falls falling from the sky. We stayed in the bakery until it slowed up and headed to our cars only to have the heavens open again. We were soaked by the time we hugged and ran to our vehicles.
A memory day for all of us and I was so happy Belle and her crew spent some time with me. It was a fun day.

She is the second who said she liked going behind the falls - I never knew you could do that, until @Juliaacv mentioned it a while ago. I will check it out and do it next time I am at the falls.

Oh it sounds like you had such a wonderfully fun time together!
We were having lunch outdoors at a pub in Port Stanley this week and there was a table near us where there were a couple of guys who had obviously met online also. We could hear them talking about the site. It was interesting to watch, and a lot less nerve-wracking then the other table in my eye's view-which had 3 couples with young children who allowed them to throw and drop their food all over the patio. I was so disgusted and felt sorry for the staff that would have had the chore of cleaning that mess up.

There are a lot of myLotters in Kansas. If I was still there I'd be getting together with them. I lived all over the state. Started as a student at Ottawa University, later when married we lived in Manhattan, Hays, Liberal, Pratt, Independence and McPherson, my hubby started as a high school coach and ended up coaching in University. I don't miss Kansas, the sirens and tornadoes terrified me, the heat of summer was too much for me and the wind ....I don't miss that either. I still have good friend there and when they come north we love seeing them.

I was delighted she was coming to Canada, although I could meet her in the US, This way we got to meet in a fabulous tourist town, I got to deliver my art to the store, and I got to play with a cyber friend and her friends, and it was a fun day.

It was our second time and we hope to get together in Florida this winter. We laughed a lot and it was nice to meet her husband too this time.

Oh wow such a nice get together of two mylotter. Its always happy moment when two mylotter met. Hmm when will the time that I'll meet a mylotter? I hope soon.

If you see some mylotters from your area all you need is to plan a meeting, Our first meeting was at a restaurant ( we were both nervous about who the other was) and we ended staying for hours just gabbing and enjoying lunch. We also said we would get together again when its possible... and we will.

I met her in Florida a few years ago, I was very nervous about meeting a on-line friend so we met at a restaurant (in public) and it turned out she was nervous too and brought a friend. We were in that restaurant for hours and we laughed a lot. I was delighted when she contacted me when she was visiting Niagara Falls, I live very close to NF.

We smiled a lot and laughed too, sometimes the photos are not so good and I don't like photos of me unless done by a professional, but this is a fun one.

I think we are very close to what we are on myLot, I enjoy meeting people who are cyber friends, I've met many over the years and we still get together when we can.
