My first mother-in-law passed away

The angels took her from us a t 11 pm Central time on September 11th. I will miss her dearly. We always remained friends from the time I divorced her son until she said good-bye to everyone. It breaks my heart that my son hasn't been able to see her for a long time. Every time he planned a trip back to see her something would come up. Rest in peace, Mom. We all love you.

Oh dear such sad news Sandy. I am so sorry to hear this and sorry for your loss. I know what you mean some Mom in laws are so precious. RIP to the dear lady.

My condolences!

I am also friends with my first mother-in-law. I was also friends with my 2nd mother-in-law but she passed away a few years ago. She had bad health for many years.

@sishy7 He was my second husband and not her son but they got a long super. She even dated his best friend. Her son is still alive but isn't doing well at all. I do wish Rod (her son) the best as I know that he has some severe medical issues.

Sorry to hear about your loss. May her soul rest in peace . Glad to hear that your mother in law was like a friend for you. You could share your emotions with her as she was a friendly person. Its more painful when such people leave the world and go. Although you divorced her son she stood for you that shows she was a very good woman who stood for daughter in law, as mostly mothers stand with their sons if some problem arises. These days we are living in a very busy world. We have no time for our near and dear ones although we are not doing it deliberately ,but we are forced to give more priority to our jobs for a better future.

I do agree with you about not having time for those that mean so much to us. I was lucky to have such a great relationship with her. Her daughter and I are still very close too. We call each other sis.
