Do you barbecue the marshmallows?

marshmallows

In general, we just eat the marshmallows directly. Occasionally I learned that the marshmallows can be barbecued when I watch some foreign movies. How interesting it is! I have never thought out this way to eat the marshmallows. I just guess they are easy to be burned. Are they really delicious to eat the barbecued marshmallows?

Pretty neat, Like this. Seems common here, made me smile how you appreciated such a simple thing we take for granted here. Marshmallows never been my thing, but indeed pretty cool when they melted and burnt.

I don't think they are a healthy food and I am following a healthy diet and so if I eat them in any way it will be on a rare occasion.

We charcoal grill marshmallow with hotdog but we put it on the tip of the stick not in the middle so it would get minimum heat, burned sugar or whatever ingredient might be bad.

@louievill In China we have never barbecued marshmallows. Usually we barbecue chicken wings, fish, sweet potatoes, sausages, bread and so on.

@youless I'm surprised that that you only learned to do that there in China, we have been doing it since I can remember over campings, campfire, outings, beach party, in our backyard and when I was a cub scout

I don't do this but when we went on a trip, the kids were saying they want marshmallow bbq. I said weird. So it is common in your country.

I never had "melted" marshmallows, but I heard they're a common snack around the campfire. I find them to be too sweet even when uncooked, but it's nice to have one or two from time to time.

I have not had marshmellows in ages. I remember when I did eat them we use to put them on a nice fire and wait till they got golden in color and ate them. They were very tasty.

@youless You don't need to grill it. You just have to put it on top of the fire just like you are keeping it warm, just enough to make it hot.
