I never knew this day existed. But this is really the need of the hour.
Every year, the World Water Monitoring Day is celebrated on September 18. The day was first instituted in the year 2003 to build public awareness and involvement in protecting water resources around the world.
The day aims to empower the citizens to conduct basic checking of their local water bodies. Water is a very precious commodity and also the basis of food and life. Conserving water should be a way of life and not something we think about once in 365 days.
Every one of us depends on water, it should be one of our responsibility to conserve water in every way we can.

We have an abundance of water here, we even had floods this spring because of too much water. I know, it is not the same everywhere and we should all be concerned.

I haven't heard of it, but we've been conserving since the hurricane hit last week. The river is at a high point and afraid of it backing up and over flowing.

We won't survive with out water, that's why we need to conserve and not waste it. We don't have technology to get water from space or make one.

Sounds like a very good idea, if everyone conserves, all will have the water that they need with the exception of those in drought areas.

This is a laudable program because scarcity if water seems inevitable, monitoring of our potable water is just important
