Just when I thought everything was OK

So other than our carport being ripped to shreds, we started having trouble with the TV last night. We thought it was the cable box so we took it back to the cable company and got another one. That worked and we were happy. This morning we put the TV on and the electric was out. We called the electric company and our electric is under ground that runs from outside to the house. The men had a hard time finding the connection. When they did it was under a big amount of water and cracked in two. The manager of the community says we have to pay for the repair. They knew there was a problem but did nothing about when my husband reported it months ago. I can see a problem brewing.

I've never heard of a homeowner having to pay for a power line repair. Isn't that unusual?

@ramapo17 You'll have to fight your power company.I can't see why they charged you. We pay for that kind of service in our electric bill.

That doesn't sound right. They should have done something long ago if they knew

I hate it when people knew something is wrong but they turn blind to fixing things.

I wonder how many other people have this problem and the worst thing it is a senior community.

You should not have to pay for the repairs that are not your fault.
