Now that we are approaching the first of October, it is getting dark so much earlier. It starts darkening at 7 and is completely dark by 730. What time does it get dark at your place no?

I can't even stand it. It is almost pitch black by 7:15pm now. The earlier the night falls, the worse my depression gets.

I kind of feel the opposite. I had the endless sunshine..I like cool, dark nights.

@snowy22315 I don't mind the cool but I need the light. All of the darkness affects my depression.

Do you mean darkness makes you depressed?

It is getting dark earlier. I've noticed the same. The sun is also coming up later. The days are slowly getting shorter.

That means the nights are longer and you tend to sleep more.

Yep, a couple of times I visited Alaska in August and it was still light at 11 PM. I am not sure what time it is getting dark there now.

I noticed that it was pitch black tonight when my husband went onto the deck to cover the grill. I had to turn on the light for him.

Its all the way dark at 7 pm, I went out expecting an hour to work but all I got was 45 minutes before I could not see. I am not a fan of the early darkness.

I don;t think we have total darkness at 7 but certainly by 7:30 it is. I don't like to drive in the dark.

That is the truth. Especially within Mi. I was so afraid to put clothes on the line. Of course, I needed to fold more than hanging so it seemed to be alright for now.

In the Chicago area the sun sets at 6:40 pm, I just hate that and in a month or so we turn the clocks back another thing I hate. I wish they would stop doing that.
