Death Knocked at the Door and Went In

I am the oldest of six siblings (66). My youngest brother Mark was murdered by a friend when he was 24. My brother Brian, who is 62 has had three strokes; with #4 probably not far in the future. Yesterday I got the call that my youngest sister Sue-z died at the age of 58 from cancer. She went pretty quick. My brother called an ambulance and within an hour after getting to the hospital, she was gone. Since she lived three states away, I won't be able to attend her memorial services (as she donated her body to Science) and I don't have the money to go. My sister in Arlington, Tx, has high BP, thyroid problems, is over-weight and has already had a kidney erupt and she's 64. Another younger sister (60), I haven't heard from in 10 years, so I don't know how she's doing. What amazes me is that I have a lot of serious health problems, am the oldest one, and I'm still kicking a**. Hopefully when Death knocks on my door, I remembered to lock it.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister. =( You have a positive attitude in life and your very strong willed, maybe that has something to do with it or its just not your time yet.

Thank you @LovingMyBabies . I think God has a plan; he just hasn't told me what it is. Either that, or it's Satan and he's just giving me a bad time.

It is sad to lose family members.. I can get great comfort from what the Bible tells us about resurrection, so am looking forward to that. Jesus said to one man: You will be with me in the Paradise..Isaiah chapter 11 and Psalm 37 describes what that future paradise will be.. I like to read the articles in jw.org.. there is so much comforting in the Bible messages about the future..

@nanette64 Did you do it, or are you just asking how God views it if anyone does it?

I use to have the JW's at my house for Bible Study @buenavida . I had asked them though that because I had to kill my husband (self-defense) if I was going to be saved. They didn't have an answer for me.

Sorry for the recent loss of your sister. My thoughts and Prayers for you and your family. As for life, we are not guaranteed tomorrow, so we need to just take life one day at a time thanking God for his blessings.

Thank you @KrauseHome . She was suffering at the end, so it was probably a blessing that she did pass. You got that right: one day at a time.

Amazing how one can have multiple health issues and live a long life and be healthy and then just suddenly fall ill and pass away.

I'm so sorry Nanette. It's all very sad. You just keep kicking and lock that door! My younger son stopped by before the wedding to tell us to buy our plots. Will do, but geez! lol

Thank you @DianneN . You can bet I keep checking that door. Well at least he didn't ask you if you had drawn up a will yet; and if he was on it,.

@DianneN Well yeah, I can see why he'd want to know, the Who's, Where's, When's and How's.

@nanette64 You do that! Lol! He knows he's in the will and both boys have copies of it. He just doesn't know if we wanted to be buried in NY or CT. At least he made us discuss it and make a decision!

@fishtiger58 And what really ticks me off is that all the millions of dollars raised over the last 50 years has done nothing to stop it. And the scientists don't know the reason why? How about reading the back of food packages for a clue.

Thank you @fishtiger58 . Oh no (brother-in-law), cancer is killing a lot of people. I heard on the news that the rate is higher than ever before. I still blame it on the crap that we are forced to eat.

@nanette64 I just don't understand why cancer hasn't been cured yet. It's 2017 lets get this taken care of. Yes the cancer rate is higher it's downright scary.

Im sorry about your lost. I cant imagine myself not seeing my sister for ten long years. You must missed each other. Is there any assistance in your local community for you to see your sister for the last time? I hope there is.
