This is my plan!

I have some serious cabin fever. I have only worked one day this week, had a planned vacation day for one, and called out sick for two days and have literally done not much else except sleeplessly toss and turn in bed. This cold is kicking my butt and disrupting my life. Agh! Enough whining - I swear - but I managed to drag myself out of bed yesterday and proceeeded to buy $25 worth of produce - apples, bananas, oranges, peaches, pears and tangerines. My plan is to mainly eat fruits and veggies for the next couple of days to see if the added vitamins and whatever help with getting rid of this bug and avoiding provessed foods all together. Desperate times call for desperate measures! Besides the normal "get lots of rest, drink plenty of water" advice is there any method youve used to shorten the life of a cold?

when I have a cold, I drink ginger water. Just boil 2 cups of water, add in slices of ginger, brown sugar and cinnamon stick. You will feel better

One of my all-purpose go-to's on a daily basis is cinnamon water with apple cider vinegar and honey. I boil about 10 stick of cinnamon in a pot on the stove and drain the water off and keep it to drink twice a day. I heat the cinnamon water up with one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and honey to taste. I try to drink it before eating every morning and going to bed at night. It helps me stay healthy. Now when I do get sick, I add a bit of ginger to my cinnamon tea and even lemon. I have always heard starve a fever and feed a cold. When I am sick with a cold and I feel hungry I eat.

There's nothing you can really do other than rest and let your immune system do its job.

You will need to eat a lot of fruits and veggies to fill yourself up but they are yummy and healthy. Hope you feel better soon.

Hot tea with lemon and honey always works for me. Reliefs cold and sore throat too.
