Eccentricity Or An Aging Habit?

You see, I put the dates when it was purchased, on things like electric fan, rechargeable fan, lotion and other products. That is because I want to know for how long are we using it and have used it already when it becomes suddenly un-operational. I also fix the bills of my money in my wallet according to denomination and with their fronts facing my sight. I cannot leave our bedroom without seeing to it that the pillows and blankets are properly arranged and the bedsheet straightened well. I also wash my hands well after I have urinated or have touched money or anything. And maybe this is why my hands’ veins are big and sp visible already. I put things back from where they are kept, always. And my bag has become bigger because I put a lot of essential things I think I will be needing. Well, I guess I am eccentric as well as getting old already, that’s why I am like this. What about you, do you have any eccentricities or habits you think is already part of getting old, or is weird? I have lots of weird habits and eccentricities, but I am going to give them all up and adopt your eccentricities. They are so much better than mine.

You sound normal to me. I also put dates on things when we buy them. Paper towels, toilet paper, or anything we buy in bulk I do this for. It gives me estimates of how long I used them and how much bang I got for my buck. I do keep my cash sorted in the right denomination from least to highest and all bills facing forward. I wash my hands and face frequently.

@SIMPLYD I really like knowing what I have on hand and how much what I buy is really saving me or costing me in the long run. I turn it into a game. No, I have never noticed my veins protruding because of washing my hands and face often. I must admit that after washing, I normally use lotion on my hands and a moisturizer on my face.

I am glad to know that what I am doing are normal. Isn't it nice when you know how much is the usabilty of a product or an pliance that we have at home. And how nice indeed when our cash is well sorted out in the right denomination in our wallet. And also i forgot, to know exactly how much we have in our wallet at all times. With washing of hands and face aren't the veins in your hands protruding because of that?

Fortunately, most perishable products have expiration dates on them, because I am a stickler like you. It is not part of getting old, it's just having good habits. My bed is made the minute I awaken, the bathroom to our master bedroom cleaned daily, and hand washing before, after, and throughout the day. I even was my hands before giving the cats treats and afterwards. lol

@DianneN Wow, I hope my husband is fastidious too. He makes his bed so quick and you know of poor quality so I still have to arrange it well.

I am glad, I am not eccentric, after all. I think because we are just making sure that what we buy is still good, we see to it that it is not expired yet. Yes, the bed has to be made also when I awaken, and it is also what I required my hubby the moment he wakes up, which he would forget to do sometimes so I make it the moment I see it unmade. You really love your cat because you make sure your hands are clean when you give them their treats. Well, that's also part of being hygienic.

@SIMPLYD We have a rule. Last one out of bed makes it. It's usually me, but my husband is fastidious and makes the bed very well. lol Yes, I treat the cat as if her were my baby. Too bad he chases the treats and eats them off the floor. Ha ha!!!

You are not eccentric. I also want to be sure the bedroom is cleaned and properly arranged before starting my other works. I wash my hands before and after I go to the toilet, you never know what you have touched, better not to risk an infection.

@ilocosboy actually my boss made me the HRD head before. But she retrieved me when she noticed that I am so pro employee. I don't want too much responsibility too so i told her to just retain me as her EA. She did and also made me one of the auditors.

Ithink everyone of us wash our hands whenever we come from the bathroom. It's part of hygiene. As to the foods, we don't buya lot. we let the helper go to rhe market to buy produce good only for 3 -4 days. But that is a very good habit pf yours.
