Big Ships Are Guided by Little Rudders, but ...

... if a huge wave shoves the ship sideways, how's the captain gonna guide the ship then? Yeah, I was watching Capps' Ministries' "Concepts of Faith," and they were talking about 'how your health can be guided by the things you say about it (like a tiny rudder steers the whole ship).' http://biblehub.com/interlinear/james/3-4.htm But there are 'healthy living'-issues (that you fix with diet, rest, exercise), and there are 'huge waves that knock you off course' (injury, infection). When something changes your course like that (as my course changed with a Traumatic Brain-Injury), a wise navigator drastically changes his intended destination ... or at least postpones the arrival at the intended destination---maybe making a few layover-stops he hadn't planned before

Religious "faith" is base on blind trust. I would feel more secure in placing my faith on proven knowledge. This is not to downplay the power of belief (not necessarily the religious kind)
