I have had many problems with my teeth and have had extractions and root canals and have never taken anything as I don't tolerate medications well. After a day or two the pain subsides. But your dentist may make recommendations.

@me87831 Over the years I tried all kinds of home remedies for tooth problems and pain and they were all useless.

I'd take some tylenol, an over-the-counter pain killer... Welcome to myLot, by the way!

Apply an ice bag to the affected area immediately after the procedure to keep down swelling.

Who can give you better advice than your dentist? I'd trust him/her more than members without medical training.

Grams always used salt water, a glass of water with a teaspoon of salt.
