"Forever A Hero" is the third book in Linda Lael Miller's 'The Carsons of Mustang Creek' series of western romance novels. I posted reviews on the first two books of which the first book was about the older brother Slater, the second about the middle brother Drake, and now this one about the third brother, Mace. Ten years earlier, then in college, Mace saved a girl on campus from a brutal attack. He subdued the culprit and testified at the hearing which put him in prison. Ten years later, Mace runs into the damsel in distress, Kelly, who is on her way to his farm to try and make a business proposition to him for his winery. Sparks flew in two different directions as they both eventually admitted to themselves the feelings they have held for each other for ten long years, and the steadfast reluctance on Mace's part to sell his winery. Kelly and Mace managed to separate business from pleasure, though the unexpected release from prison of her attacker left them both on their guard. Was he coming to seek revenge on Kelly? Or maybe Mace? And how does Mace and Kelly's relationship endure this battle, and the battle for the company? You'll have to read and find out. This is the third book in the series. There are only three brothers so the only other book I expect in this series is a Christmas one. Though I have had my fill of cowboy romances for the time being, I am sure I will be picking up the Christmas edition (for my daughter of course). I gave this book 4 stars out of 5. I am not sold on the one week long love stories. I like stories to be a little more realistic.

What's not realistic about this? That a cowboy named "Mace" would own a winery? Nope, sounds plausible to me... not. I hate it when writers give their characters stupid names.

This sounds good. And I appreciate not being given away the ending.
