"Another one bites the dust - Glad I did not sign up"

Why do some keep saying they were glad they did not sign up if a site decides to close? Those sites that close down share their earnings while the going is good and users get to earn. Users should be prepared for the event that a site could close down for many reasons. That is how it is for every single site. Some sites come back but some do not. Some announce that they are going to close down and some do not. Either way users earn while the site is alive.

They also had stopped paying. It happens. The site owners have their own problems.

@allknowing I've always wondered how many owners there are for a site. It looks like beermoney was a one owner but mylot is more than one? Don't know.

Looking through my book of passwords is like seeing an album of sites that have passed away. Some were good, some were mediocre, some paid generously, some cheated me and others. I learned and connected on them, though. I have refrained lately from signing up for new ones as my time is limited. That is not to say I would not sign up with another promising site in the future. I was not a member of the most recent one.

Site owners have their own problems to deal with. As I often say - make hay while the sun shines.

I still miss some of the sites that I liked that have shut down and I wish they were still around. I don't, however, sign up for very many. I am leering about putting my paypal information on too many sites.

If they could have benefited from it while it was in action then they wouldn't have lost anything by signing up.

One good thing about the site that stopped paying, but didn't close is the guy paid everyone and didn't screw anyone out of the money they had earned. That is more than I can say about a few other sites who are here today, pay, and gone tomorrow, Vanished. Leaving a lot of people angry and never paid.

@allknowing No, I didn't say that at all. I said the owner of this site is a good person and he paid everyone. He even asked everyone to send him their coins and he would pay them immediately. What I did say was this: Other sites that close like BeerMoney Forum will never pay the people who worked on their site. They announce the site is closed and 2 days later the site has disappeared. Everyone that worked on this site is angry because they were never paid. I was testing this site for my project. I had to work on there and see what happened. I had to make sure the owner paid the people on the site. Normally, I test a site for 4 weeks and then try and cash out. This site was a good paying site and I worked it for around 2 1/2 weeks to 3 weeks. I was paid over $40 by the owner of this site. So this site wasn't a scam and everyone who worked there is being paid now.

@galaxy2017 that was BEFORE. bitLanders pays members via PayPal and/or Payza since last year. We can withdraw Bitcoin if we use Payza.

@allknowing That is sad. When I am in town I like to look at the windows and sometimes have to step back and think is that a new business or the same. It is very expensive to rent here so businesses do not succeed and new ones come in their place.

This is the nature of the field that we are in. Sites open, pay their members, membership increases, sites stop paying, sites close down. Rinse. Repeat.

I am afraid I have been a part of too many sites that did not give a warning and then did not pay after closing. I always try to investigate thoroughly before joining any site.

Working on online sites is always a risk. I don't work on the sites except Mylot. I have seen lots of sites stop paying its members even Mylot too stopped but came back again.

I think It's just a normal response for somebody who doesn't sign up on that site. It's like if you avoid a risk, you'll feel lucky.

I hardly find any risk at writing sites. They do not even charge us for writing. At worst may be we will not be able to retrieve what has been posted there but writers will always have something original to contribute.
