Not eating breakfast is better

I read an article that says that eating breakfast will only make you sleepy during working hours. Not having breakfast proved that you had more energy during the day. Is that true? One of Christians I know of mentioned that it is common not to eat anything from 8 pm until lunch time, especially the food made from meat, fish and other foods containing animal flesh. What's your take on this?

Eating a heavy breakfast with fried stuff in the morning seems a stupid thing to do for me. Yet, coffee or tea, toast with jam is OK. To eat and drink nothing is not a good idea to start the day.

What you heard about Christians only refer to one day a year, it's the Friday before Easter, it's not at all a habit. You are misinformed.

I don't have anything to eat from dinner at night till nearly lunchtime next day. But it would be different if I were going to work each day. If that were the case, I'd have something for breakfast.

That study contradicts everything I know about breakfast! It's said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Of course, if you fill yourself up at breakfast, you might be tired for the rest of the day, but most of us need the energy to do things that healthy breakfast foods give us. Eating breakfast can also help people to lose weight. I hardly ever used to eat breakfast but now I always make sure I have it. In combination with other things, it's helped to improve my health.

After having starved for 8-10 hours it is very essential to have a nutritious breakfast. Almost all dietician s and health experts agree on that

@kiran8 We still have energy produced from the previous day. Unless we need to lift heavy things, yes, we need to have breakfast. But again, it depends on the individuals.

Yes, as discussed earlier. Some or even most think having breakfast is a must to provide energy for the day. Some other think the energy can be obtained from within the body.

I have not read anything like that that one will be sleepy throughout the day. I read that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and I would feel one would have more energy after eating a good breakfast.

What about eating cereals and other similar then? I don´t eat meat of any kind in the mornings at all now but I do have breakfast broken up into two parts and the second being where I eat the most until Dinner Time. I suppose for some it might be okay though.

I'm not sure about this. I usually eat my breakfast around 9am or 10am and I considered it also as lunch. I always feel sleepy. Sometimes I skip breakfast before of overloaded work but I still feel sleepy. So I'm not really sure about this. Maybe it is that I need more sleeping hours during at night.

The meaning of Breakfast itself is " breaking the fasting" since its a long 6 to 8 hrs we don't eat any food. So i don't think it's good to no food at that time. It will effect health inversely
