I got to work about 20 minutes early and noticed a big backup getting into my parking ramp. Ahh there must be an event I figured. And so there is. Monster Jam apparently. Instead of parking on my normal 2nd floor, I am up on the 6th floor.
There are tons of big trucks taking up 2 parking spots. And lots of children.
Across the parking ramp you can hear metal on metal, cars backing up too close to and hitting things. I was lucky enough to just now have an SUV pull in a tight spot next to me and hit my door with theirs as they got out. Fabulous! I did look and do not see any damage. Luckily.
I cant wait to work in a pleasant and quoet suburb again and not have to deal with this downtown nonsense.
How is everyone elses Saturday going?

My daughter goes through that, five days a week:( She's constantly bucking traffic, then searching for a parking place, in a parking ramp. She works downtown Detroit, it's a dangerous place to leave a car.

@maezee She hates being downtown Detroit so often, but loves her job, as a pediatrics nurse.

We are careful when there are lots of cars in the parking and I don't usually hit another car's door when opening mine. I think it's rude when somebody does that.

Lucky you have not damaged your car I think. In downtown it may be dangerous roaming around

I always thought it would be hard to drive to downtown near me to work, and glad I never had to. I hope you get back to where you're happier soon.
