At any rate, here’s today’s song about a gentleman that everybody knows and loves. #8: Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry All of Chuck’s children are out there, playing his licks (Bob Seger, “Rock and Roll Never Forgets”) Yeah, ol’ Johnny isn’t real, but yet he is. Goode” is one of those songs that dang near everybody knows. The story of a poor Louisiana boy who made it big is the stuff rock and roll dreams are made of. It’s also the stuff rock and roll is made of. We lost Chuck Berry this year at the age of 90. But all of Chuck’s children will always be out there, playing his licks. Johnny B. Goode Written by Chuck Berry Recorded by Chuck Berry Released as a single, 1958 My, my, how that little country boy can play:

Great song. Vince's dance band used to play this back in the 1970s.
