Why Did I Shoot?

I heard the dogs barking, and the cat was on the porch meowing as though it was warning me that someone was near too.
Tony came from his shower with a towel wrapped around him and he asked " Why are the dogs barking?
I looked outside and I see a woman coming out from the bushes and I tell him " A woman is out there."
"Open the door and see what she wants" he replied.
I did but I cannot understand her and Tony steps out on the porch, in his towel.
I see A flare was shot up in the air and I reach inside the door for the 12 ga. pump shotgun and I ask" how many more?"
The woman replied " two men" as I held the gun on her.
A man jumps into sight, gun drawn and I fire my shotgun and he goes down, I look up and the woman has Tony with a gun to his head.
I wake up. I am glad I wake up because my heart is beating like crazy.
Its 6 am, I toss and turn, I go take cough syrup and get back to bed but I cannot sleep.
By 7 am I am up. I woke Tony and I did not mean to, he had another bad night.
Then I heard it, Shots fired in the back fields. 20 minutes later shots fired in the other field.
Those people invaded my dreams, people coming from the bushes/ wooded area, shots fired, men with guns.
I bet I will sleep the day away, since I have not slept hardly any.
How was your sleep? Do you have such vivid dreams?

So true, people invaded your dreams. I also had a weird dream, my husband was driving a weird vehicle on a very large road with grass on both sides. He decided to quit the road and drive on the grass, speeding even more, until we reached a point where the road ended, everything ended, like the world was flat and we had reached the end. Weird!

Yes I reckon so, sometimes I forget them all and at one point in the day they all come back.

LOL, No I wished I did see a good movie. I have to battle people hunting on my land the past few years.

Oh what a bad dream you had there 
Yes, There are times that I have bad dreams and it felt like so real Good thing that it was just a bad dream

Oh my goodness. What a scary dream and also scary that you heard the shots. Why would those shots have rang out in the field? Is that hunting? (This may ne a dumb question but I live in a city and whenever we hear shots its never a good thing)

Yes hunting, I moved to get away from drive by`s and here they kill animals on my land.

Oh dear how disturbing they are to you..yes they are invading your thoughts and dreams..

@andriaperry It is, I just talked to the hospice nurse today and we are both very pleased with how she is doing.

OMG, even though they were just "nightmares" how scary!! They say that your dreams represent something?? Hopefully this doesn't come true and you can get some peaceful rest.
