~A Good Day Here~

Hey everyone, I hope you are doing well. Things are good here! =)
It was a pretty good day. My older kids started winter break today so they had a great time playing with friends most of the day. Tomorrow they have a Christmas party to go to from 2pm-5pm at a neighbor's house. 
They will be making cookies and decorating them, having s'mores, drinking hot chocolate and getting goody bags! I know they will have so much fun and I am excited for them. =)
The little girl I watch and Julian had so much fun playing together today, it was so nice! I love when she's here-they have a blast.
The picture I shared here is of our cat Pebbles. He was opening a present the neighbor gave him. He succeeded and it was a fake little mouse. He LOVES this toy! He played with it as Julian laughed so hard because he's never seen a cat play before today! 
So, how was your day?

Awww - it's nice when the kids are having such a great time on their break like that! We've been shopping pretty much all of the week - so the kids are enjoying their chill time since we were able to come home and stay home this afternoon!

3 of my grandchildren live with us. During school days the home is quiet. But now that they are on Christmas vacation, that is about to change.
Thankfully they have a lot of friends and I'm encouraging my grandchildren to go to their houses. Let their friend's parents deal with the teenage mayhem.

@josie_ I am sure things won't be as quiet now that they are home. Mine are Home Schooled so they are always home, the way we all love it! =)

@LovingMyBabies _How long have you home school your kids? Not an easy task. Most parents would have preferred others to take responsibility for their children's schooling. I commend you on your dedication.

It has been a good day of cleaning and organizing. I went through a drawer of my sons and gathered clothes he no longer wears and will donate them to the Salvation Army. That is sweet that Julian got ticked about the cat playing with his new toy

@LovingMyBabies We use to give our cat a big paper bag to play with. She'd crawl inside and then jump all over the room, swatting from the inside of the bag! LOL

It has been a full day here. We visited some more with dad and my brother, then we drove north toward home. We had brunch at a cafe, then shopped at some stores we do not make it to often. Home now and taking it easy.

Fine except for the car issues! Cats are fun to watch when they play..Mine started rolling a ball around after breakfast.

We had one of our family get-togethers today. We had soup and salad and then did our family gran bag, it all went very well. It is cold and icy out. I am so glad that everything is going well for the kids and I know they will enjoy having a little time off from their studies.
