What a Great Day I Had

Did you ever have a day when everything seems to go right? Today was that day. I was able to contact the cable company and oops they forgot to upgrade my cable and turn on my Internet. They won't charge me the turn-on charge.I figured out how to make my Amazon Fire Stick work on my TV, I was pretty proud of me.
I stopped by the country club and renewed our dining membership. Then we headed off to CVS where they transferred two of our prescriptions and filled them for us. We visited two consignment shops looking for a recliner for me, no luck.
I found some great buys at the hospice thrift shop, had an ice cream at the Twistee Treat, it just seems wrong having a soft serve cone in January and then did my grocery shopping at Walmart Neighborhood Market.
I was tired by the time we had put away all the groceries so we had leftover Alfredo and the fresh rotisserie chicken I bought at the store. Now I am chilling and watching HGTV. It was a great day, how was yours?

It was a great day here as well, I spent most of my day connecting with my Father in Heaven-in between other tasks. =)

Very nice day here. Spent the first part with a rocker friend of mine and my husband. Gave her some rocks to hide that I had painted, and bought her a Star Bucks for doing this for me the last couple of months

I am so sorry that you have to do these things, I would have thought your brother would be doing most of them. It is hard enough to lose your mother but dealing with estate things just makes it drag on and be more painful.

It sounds like a fabulous day. It is raining here, so I have just hung out around the house, and now I am on MyLot. I think we'll have fishsticks for dinner. Something easy!

@BelleStarr - It was terrible. We have relatives who live in the area, but were not injured. The mudslide was North of Los Angeles and we live South of Los Angeles. We were not in danger, but it is a horrible situation. My husband used to spend his summers in Montecito, California when he was a kid. His father and aunt had homes there. They are both deceased now. I don't know if their former homes were among the ones which were destroyed. I feel so bad for the families there.

@DianneN Yah I just had terrible pain in my stomach I am not sure if I ate something bad or just picked up a bug at the stores we were in yesterday. I finally ate some yogurt tonight without pain so I guess it is over.

Our soft serve ice cream place opens next month. But if it was up to me, they'd never close. Lol. As no reason to not have ice cream in the winter months, long as you're indoors and not outside freezing to eat it.

Ice cream during wintry days?
To achieve much that we set out to do has definitely earned you a well earned chilling out.
I go out every day but mostly for a walk and daily purchases.
The weather is pleasant at this time of the year from Oct- Feb - siva
