Not many. They are high in protein. Everything in moderation is a good rule I think.

@marguicha ...Yes. The carbs turn into sugar and doesn't do your waistline any favors.

So true you don't and when it does it makes you wonder why, very odd indeed, no clear rules.

I love eggs. Lately I have heard that cholesterol levels depend on each person.

@marguicha I did not know that and since I'm not yet sure of mine, I still want to play safe

I have eggs nearly everyday. Once a day is good enough for me. Too much of something, even if they say it's fine, is still bad.

@marguicha maybe try and vary the method of cooking to make it more exciting and healthier? like poached or boiled? I understand poaching is a bit challenging but there are devices now. I have a poaching pocket which makes it so much easier. Some people use glad wrap but I am not very comfortable dipping plastic into boiling water. Who knows what toxins get released by doing that

@marguicha We do scrambled or sunny side up - oh or boiled. Hubby will make omelettes from time to time.

@marguicha I also like eggs, but I would not feel safe eating eggs every day of the week.

I enjoy eggs several times a week. I have been eating them lately heating up frozen potato pancakes and putting fried eggs on them.Only two at a time for breakfast.

@marguicha it is and the potato pancake makes it tastier than putting they eggs on plain toast.

I eat eggs 3-4 times a week mostly boiled and poached. I don't know about the truth behind consuming eggs everyday could increase your risk for heart disease because I've also read that its okay to eat eggs everyday. Quite confusing But isn't it okay because eggs are healthy?

I think eggs are not as bad for you as people once seemed to think. If your cholesterol is normal, it probably isn't bad to eat eggs every day.

Doctors have told me that. My cholesterol is fine and I love eggs so I eat them without guilt.

I should, but I don't because of putting off what's good for me in favor of busyness, not laziness. I fry eggs in butter every breakfast or lunch, so far. A friend supplies us every other week with 10 dozens of free range eggs from her own backyard. Hard-boiled eggs are easier to prepare and eat, instead of snacking on junk chips.

They say that oil is better than butter. But butter is delicious
