We all know the power of the sun! Can it be used to solve all our energy needs? Is the technology finally here? What do you think? If you haven't seen it, please take a look at it as it is very revealing and sunsensional?
Solsource pitch on shark tank Dr. Catlin Powers comes to the Shark Tank with her product Solsource, essentially a grill that is powered by the sun. She's ask...

AWESOME! I just bought a solar kit a few weeks ago, yesterday I bough the battery for the solar panels. I agree solar is the way to go but will be fought by big business, aka power companies, and government. This coming week I will be hooking up my first solar power, I have not decided what to run, maybe this computer!

Yes. solar energy is now widely harnessed around the world. It is now widely used in Germany and UK, in the USA, in Japan, China, and soon in Developing countries as well. The investment for complete solar energy system to power household is still high, but the savings from electricity bills will soon compensate the initial expense. I believe that sooner or later even cars will go solar, and that electric cars will replace the current gasoline cars. As more and more leaders around the world are realizing how carbon dioxide emissions from these cars and from factories destroy our atmosphere. Solar energy is clean energy and it is always available.

So, the bottom line is that we have the solutions! If we are messing up the world then whose fault is it?

@1hopefulman Most of the blame must be directed to the country that contributed the highest proportion of carbon dioxide and other harmful elements into the atmosphere. That country is China.

That's great! Solar power is beginning to get rolling. There are so many solar powered homes here in Florida and lamp posts on the main highways. We have some solar powered garden lights at home.

@1hopefulman Yes, you can save electric bill also but the solar panel here is kind of expensive so not everyone can afford to buy it.

I hope the cost has come down, we wanted to put some in when we built our house over 10 years ago, but the cost was so great that it would be 35 years for us to see a savings.

The power plant in our area has invested in more solar power with the plan that it will be ready for use in a certain amount of years. They've given the residents here a chance to invest with them and have a lower bill once it's in operation. It's not something we can afford at present, but maybe we still can before it's rolled out and finished. Your video was taken down by the author. I wonder whether they didn't understand why they got so many views, or whether it wasn't theirs to post in the first place?

@1hopefulman I'll take a look at it tomorrow. My father in law used solar panels that were on a platform within a few feet of his small house. He also had a working windmill at one point. He had larger batteries in his basement, which I don't believe I ever saw but even if I had probably I wouldn't have a good picture to show them. He had electricity and running water in his house and ran the electric on 9volt batteries. Toward the end of his life he got his first computer and he used it mostly for his pictures. He wasn't online at all. In order to use the computer he had to make sure the batteries were on as more juice was needed for the computer even though he didn't do a lot with it. To my knowledge none of his family took his lead with greener living. He was able to do what he did without spending a ton of money which the rest of us would need nowadays.

I'm sure solar power could be used a lot more if big business would only get behind it but too many have their own agendas.

There are more options to generate electricity and energy cheaply, and especially from the sun, I hope soon it will be dirt cheap, not a good thought for oil companies!!! So much to heat a house, Using the sun is a real money saver and less strain on the environment!!!

Yes! We probably now have everything it would take to build a wonderful world. Will we? I wish I could say yes but selfishness and greed will lead us to misuse all that we have. Only God's intervention can save us and teach us how to love which would eliminate all our problems.
