At least on Facebook, I am very popular with muscular hunks. Hardly a day goes by without some extremely handsome man, many of them seem to be either military or ex-military, asking to be my friend. They have no other information and they are obviously hot dating material.
I wonder how soon they would start telling me they need my bank information or they want to meet? Does anyone think Al would object? lol I am just joking, not about getting the friends requests but about accepting them. Seriously, so they think I'm an idiot?

I get those friend requests also. I always ignore them. And you are right, they are always from so called "military" men.

@Starmaiden lol Ah yes, Winnipeg is just packed with good-looking, middle-aged American military men!! I guess the real people don't get out of their bunker often enough to know geography or the fact that Canada is not a state. lol

lol I have my settings pretty secure too but I guess asking to be friends is an exception. I wonder who he really is? You are always surrounded by your own hunky men so maybe you look out of reach!! Happy Passover!!

I do but they have to have a lot of friends in common with me, I am part of a large group of writers and some I don't really know well but as long as they are friends of lots of my friends I let them in and I can always unfriend them if it is required.

OMG...try playing words with friends. They pop up every day..with an obviously copied and pasted picture..and want to "chat" with you. Anyone who wants to chat anytime in the early stages of the game I delete. I wonder how many poor souls fall for these things? Some Americans spend ungodly amounts of money on these scams..and I kind of feel like if they are that stupid..maybe they deserve to lose it..but I guess hope springs eternal.

Yes, I get some too, from beautiful women but they have not much of a profile and so I avoid those as when you befriend them they may sent some pictures that I don't want to look at.

That is probably the least offensive thing that could happen, it is a scam so they want to steal money for sure.. It is wise to avoid them.

i had that experience too. an engineer from Cyprus befriended me and wanted me to be the mother of his daughter.
ahahaha! so i rode with his antics, until he wanted me to send him money. now, that man is another entity in my life.

@BelleStarr Most of the times the photos are "fake", in the sense that they place photos of handsome men, but when the women decide to meet them they get a bad surprise.
