At least I saved the Ice Cream!

We were watching a family movie the other night and decided to make Chocolate Oreo blizzards. I sat down but realized I forgot my spoon, so I started making my way through the floor of kids bodies to go get it. I guess, I was not as sure footed as I thought, because As I stepped over one kid I lost my footing and dodged falling on the kid but my knee & elbow hit the floor hard. As I gathered my bearings I realized my hand with the ice cream was still up in the air. I have a giant rug burn on my knee and elbow and they are so sore, but hey I got up, got the spoon and happily ate my blizzard. It was so good specially with no carpet fuzz in it!
By the way Nut Job 2 is a great kids movie it has us all laughing so hard.
We also went last night to see Pacific Rim 2 and it was also really good, of course not as good as the first but we have decided to buy both when we see a double pack. We do not go to the theater much since it is so much for our family, but knew we really wanted to see that one on the big screen.
A good weekend all in all. How was yours? Have you seen any of the above movies. Have you made a blizzard at home? What kind? How did it turn out?
Have a beautiful day!

No, I have not seen any of those movies or made a blizzard at home but we do get a lot of blizzards in winter here.
I make a strange ice cream with ripe bananas, avocado and celery. It is strange but I love it.

We're now a household of 10 as well, on a more permanent basis as before.
Our local drive-in theater is having a free movie night on the 19th, and we're going to that! I'm sure it's going to be a zoo, but at least they have a place that sells burgers and hot dogs as well as popcorn, plus they have a play structure for the kids to play on while we wait for the movies to start. Coco and Jumanji (not sure if they mean the old one or the new one) will be some of the movies shown that night.
By the way, do you have a blog anywhere? I'm trying to read more "large family" resources right now.

sorry, I don't have a blog. I do know there are several of them out there from large families. It is funny, when you start talking about large families people automatically think of the Duggars. I try to tell the, my ten kids, is a long way from 20, even though to people with 2 or 3 anything over that is just a lot.A drive in would be great, I wish they had one here. They do a movie under the stars at the local park in the summer for free and that is really fun

@mom210 I grew up in a big family myself. I didn't expect to have a big one myself, but sometimes life has other plans.

I'm glad you saved the ice cream. I'm sorry you got rug burn.
No, I haven't seen those movies. I'm glad you and your family enjoyed them.
That particular weekend was good. Last weekend was our blizzard. It was great - in my opinion. I love snow.

It is beautiful and fun if you do not have to travel in it. One year when we were visiting the family we ended up stranded on the highway with many others because of the snow fall. They worked on the road we were there for about 12 hours, finally got it cleaned up for the traffic to continue.
