Are you willing to try new dishes?

I'm not very fussy. I like to explore different cultures and different ways of preparing food but there are still some things I cannot eat. Not for religious reasons or anything. Rather, it's because of my imagination. I get squeamish thinking about things. Are you willing to try new dishes? Will you travel anywhere and eat whatever is served? Where will you draw the line? i try new dishes, but I might pause a little bit for the non-vegetarian dishes. It all really depends on what it is and how it is prepared in my view.

Of course why not. But I will not taste anything that looks gross for me.

@AlisaTR Youre most welcome, Alisa. Of course. Anything exotic is a no-no.

I will try most dishes..I think I would draw the line at blood puddings, or something like scorpion on a stick..If I can't get past the looks, or the idea, I am not going to try it.

@AlisaTR You are welcome! I am pretty sure I have seen scorpion on a stick on the Travel Chaneel bizzare foods show!

Aah! I literally scrolled back to see if I had said blood puddings. This is at the top of my list of things I won't eat. I haven't yet seen a scorpion on a stick though. So there may be other things. Thanks @snowy22315

Yes I am but like you there are things I can't eat like bugs. When I was in Thailand I ate almost everything they wanted me to try except bugs. Some of my fellow countrymen couldn't take too spicy food but I didn't mind. I love exploring.

I am always willing to try new dishes and new ideas. It doesn't always work out of course. But in the 13 years my wife and I have been together there have only been about 4 dishes that were, "Don't ever do that again."

Trying new dishes ain’t bad...but I most have heard or seen a good review about it or it look attractive to my eyes...if not ...I won’t waste money on something I might not be able to eat

I refuse to try squid, octopus, or anything that has tentacles! I've never eaten sushi either. And why do people eat raw oysters . . . they're just big boogers in a shell!
