I'm So Tired of Jumping Through Hoops When Websites Make Changes

Anyone who does much online knows that changes are constant. I'm especially frustrated today because it seems almost everything I want to do today involves some change I can't seem to navigate. I've been feeling dizzy on and off all day, and that doesn't help.
First I visited one of my blogs to see something I wanted to use in a comment on someone else's blog. When I logged in, I had to update almost everything. Then I was reminded I have only a few days left to get all my blogs in compliance with new privacy policies that the EU prefers. Then I tried to use a template provided by Wordpress for making that Privacy Page and got frustrated and put it aside after saving to finish when I feel better.
Then I tested a Flickr button on another blog and discovered I could no longer log in there because Flickr now belongs to Yahoo, but it seems someone else is running Yahoo now. I thought I'd made the proper changes when notified by Yahoo months ago, but it seems something is still wrong. I've been running around in circles online like crazy tried to log in with an ID code they gave me that sent me to verification hoops to jump through. I got my link by phone and then they wanted to confirm that by sending a email to the email they have on file that was supposed to have a link to click so I could put another code in another page. I got the email, but there was no link. So I now have a Flickr account I can't access to make a correction to my email address so I can log in and remove some obsolete photos.
Do you know what? I just don't care anymore. I've had it. I now have a new Flickr account I can't connect to the old one to get my photos. I'm not going to use the new account. If I do, they will probably change something else to make me jump through more hoops to get into it.
I hope myLot will remain easy to use and easy to please. Have you had any computer related frustrations lately?

In my experience, change is usually for the worse.

Hi Barbara. It sometimes make it all the more complicated instead of being user-friendly.

It's the people who use sites that make these laws and policies. It's the lawyers. Most of us have no idea what all these disclosures and policies mean because they are in legalise and hardly anyone reads them. Except maybe people looking for someone not compliant that they can sue.

@mlgen1037 I've been doing more Zazzle designing the past few days. It would be nice to start making sales here again.

@bagarad I have never heard of Zazzle. Is it like Etsy or Ebay too?

@bagarad I am sorry, are there any other sites such as this that you can now use?

I'm sorry for all your frustrations with the websites. That would drive me insane. I haven't had any problems lately, though I did see the message from my blog site about the EU changes. Since it's only a blog, and I rarely use it, I'm not worried about it, but maybe I should be. I tried to log into it yesterday and couldn't. I thought I just forgot my password and wasn't going to look it up. I probably should because I want to make that one more active over Word Press.
I hope things are better today.

I hate to do all those updates that mean nothing to me as a user of their site.

Thank you for your empathy. I feel more alert today and haven't been dizzy so far, so I am able to work. I just hope I can figure out how to do what I'm supposed to do.

I"m not even going to think about it anymore. I've been too busy trying to get my nine blogging sites in compliance with the new GDPR law that starts getting enforced tomorrow.

Exactly. I like creating content. I hate messing with the back end of a site, and know nothing about coding or legaleze. Probably 99% of users don't even read privacy policies. I guessing a few of the 1% may be out to read nothing but privacy policies to find someone to sue or fine under these horrid laws.

Change on the net could be dreadfully confusing. I have been getting notifications from a number of platforms to opt in by May 25, but nothing so serious as being locked out of a platform. Then again, I haven't been on to my blog for a while. I think I might have to check it out.
