Out Gardening On This Gorgeous Day

This morning, I had the joy of being able to garden for a change. There is no happiness better than being out there in the sun when it is not too hot, just right. I spend about 2 hours which is not happening very often these days, due to health reasons. Now, I had lunch and feel totally at peace with myself and the world! Planning to go back later on, but I don't know if I will be able to do so.

Gardening here is tough, we have red clay for soil. I'm not in good physical shape anymore to garden either. We live in a woodsy place, we have rocks instead of a yard, and some shrubs and of course trees. I'm embarrassed to say I haven't even filled the planters this year. It's very hot here in the summer, so I was planning to get plants like geraniums out there, but I just haven't gotten out to do it. My daughter has really made beautiful garden areas on her property, so I enjoy the fruits of her labors, lol. I do love a pretty garden. I'm glad you could get out and do that, if only for a couple hours. Do you mind my asking what you've planted? Gonna start getting very hot here tomorrow, maybe triple digits for a few days, ugh.

CinnamonGrl , I am not in a very good shape either. But on days that I can handle it, I love gardening. The heat gets me too, can't handle it anymore like the "good old days". Enjoy your daughter's garden and don't feel guilty anymore.

I fully agree with you, I love to work in the garden in the sun, when the temperature is still not hot. We still have a lot of rain.

The heat is terrible here and I don't like being in it either, it feels good only when the breeze is blowing and I am in the shade. Hope you feel better soon
