What does avocado, cucumber, cottage cheese and beets have in common?

Not much other than they are in the concoction I made tonight. I also have milk, I've cubes, chia seeds and protein powder. Yummy? Seriously, it really is. Although, I either need more milk or ice as it's almost too thick to drink. I almost forgot I also added a full banana for a bit of sweetness. Now I'll see if this image will load today if not I'll try it in the comment section.

I love smoothies but I use a different combination of ingredients except for the required banana.

@MarshaMusselman I made one yesterday, Greek Yogurt, banana, ice, a little milk, strawberries and frozen mixed berries. It was delicious.

@BelleStarr do you ever include veggies in your smoothies? I need to take time to chop everything up and freeze it to use later before any of it goes bad. I have various types of frozen fruits to use whenever, but I need to eat more vegetables, so I want to figure out more combinations with those. I'm taking pic for a possible article or maybe an ebook one day.

I may use a different combination every time. I'm not measuring any of it. Recently I did one with cukes, (not comes)[edited], celery, oj, milk, ice, 1small beet, the seeds and protein, avocado and I don't remember whether I used cottage cheese or yogurt for that one.

A lot of people fall out of Mylot sometimes but many, like you, eventually come back @MarshaMusselman I've been on this site for a few years and noticed that kind of trend.

@rebelann I have a ripe avocado that I was going to make keto smoothie with, but never got it done before my surgery. Maybe I can manage making that tonight. Other than the heat in the how are you doing these days? If you've visited my old posts for some months I probably missed you because I've not been here often enough since before spring.

Yes. I purchased as Ninja blender which fits better on my counter. I'm hopeful I will make them more often and I'm hopeful my husband will consider trying some since he's having his remaining few teeth removed next month so he can get a lower plate. He needs more nutrients.

I was going to use broccoli crowns and other things but they got bad before I got to it. I'm hoping to at least make one daily but I know that some days I'll be took busy.

Yes it was. I've been adding avocado to each one I've made lately and I think it helps with the creamy texture. I may have to keep more on hand. Today I made one from mostly frozen fruits, the avocado, protein powder and chia seeds, yogurt and milk too to make it easier to drink. It's almost gone. It's a little lighter in color than the one that had a couple of small beets.

@Icydoll all I've made this far have been tasty. Who knows maybe a benefit will be that I lose a few pounds.

Hi Marsha. Those are quite a lot. But what does it taste? I like to add with milk and ice.

The banana helped give it a bit of sweetness. I don't mind mixing flavors so it tasted great for me. Others may wrinkle their noses at it. Many of the included recipes say to add honey, but I don't like honey much.

@mlgen1037 I don't much like honey but I may use it one day as I don't think I'd taste it much.

@MarshaMusselman Nice. I like to eat honey raw but not much to be added in food or beverages. I tried the banana shake but adding it with other fruits, not that much. Maybe I should give it a try too.

Thanks. I may go back to the larger blender one day and then make and freezer extras, but for now I like this little thing.

I love smoothies especially on hot summer days like we're having but I prefer mine to be all fruit. They are filling and really refreshing. I've never tried a smoothie with veggies, etc but I bet they are good. Sounds like you found a winner there

It's quite good. Years ago I used some onion with fresh fruits in a blender. I may try that again soon.

It is refreshing. I had the idea to use cottage cheese instead of yogurt and I like it. Not sure how it will be if I use more fruits though. I also have to figure out my portions as it keeps wanting to overflow while it's mixing.
