I know I have ZERO court-experience, and none of my 'opinions' (or are they 'votes on a decision'?) would have any grounds in "precedence." (Much like the kind MSNBC's experts think https://youtu.be/YrBCERbYKVs President Trump will choose.) But 'very-similar things' could be said about the man holding the Executive Office. And besides, I've always heard that this is a government of-, by- and for-The People, not The Precedence! Modern decisions should be based on modern facts, not antiquated declarations

The Constitution does not specify any particular qualifications for Supreme Court Justices. They do not need to be judges or even lawyers. We have had at least one Supreme Court Justice who didn't finish high school and in the early days of the country, there were not a lot of lawyers or even law schools. Just as the qualifications for president don't ask for experience - just 35 years old and a natural born citizen. We complicate things with tradition and the old-boy network of the established political parties that tells us whose turn it is to run for president. Personally, I am loving the disruptive nature of this administration. DC needed a shake-up.
