Buy Sell and Trade . . . and Lost

I look at announcements on the Facebook Buy Sell and Trade sites. Sometimes I get just what I want. I have seen countertop ice makers in the stores for around $100. There was a lady selling one for thirty five. We bought it. I have already mislaid the instruction book. Where is my brain? It is making little ice cylinders, though, so I guess her explanation was pretty good.

Those ice makers are a bit more expensive here, you had a good deal.

I like it. It is quiet. I found the book too, this morning.

@LadyDuck I usually use recycled plastic containers to make large chunks that fit our travel cups. That way our drinks stay cool when we must go somewhere.

@GardenGerty We use very little ice. I have three ice trays in the freezer, they are designed to make very little cubes, they are more than enough for us.

Sam's Club, and even Wal Mart have them here. It is not enough ice to supply an entire party while it is going on, but it is enough ice for hubby and me. I am filling up gallon bags.

I have had my eye on them for a couple of years. They never seemed to go on sale. I snapped it up. It might have a hard time keeping up with a large family, though.

That sounds like a super deal for an ice maker! Is that like a Craigslist type of site?

It is a "group" on Facebook. Almost every community seems to have at least one.

If I was trying to cool bath water I would freeze BIG chunks of ice. Like Ice cream containers, etc.

Looking is free, and at least where I am the ones I am in are first come first served, not an auction. I believe there are auction sites as well.

free bookshelf turned clothes storage
Ever once in a while just what I needed shows up. It is like a real blessing. Sometimes you even get extra stuff. I went to pick up some things last year and got that run down book case that I painted the inside of and put baskets in for free. It was on a trash pile. We took it home, I put a back on it, put the parts that were off back on and painted the inside. That was a project a few weeks ago.

It does. And I slowed down enough to figure out where I had put the book.
