So, I have been trying to load a photo on mylot from my downloads folder, originally sent from an ipad and it keeps ending up upside down here. As a reactio nI turned it upside down in the downloads folder in hopes it would be right side up here..but by the time I went to post it it had turned itself and ended up upside down here again. Any suggestions? It should be a simple matter to rotate it, but it keeps ending up here upside down.

@snowy22315 Yes, it's not a very difficult fixing if you use a graphic program to tilt the photo and re-upload.

The problem is that the myLot application which uploads and handles photos seems to be rather unpredictable about the way that it handles (or doesn't handle) Exif tags. Most modern cameras and phones add information to the image regarding which way up the camera was when the photo was taken. Some editing programs will read that information and display the photo correctly while others will not. I've included a link to a fuller explanation below. What you need to do is to use an editing program which can physically rotate the image (by changing the pixels around) and save it with new Exif data. Sometimes you may have to open the image as a .JPG file rotate it so that it displays correctly, if necessary, and save it in another format (the most common would be as a .PNG file). Usually, though, you can just rotate it in your image editing program and save it with a different name. If the editing program shows it correctly oriented, make some insignificant change to it before saving it.
Ever wonder why some photos look correct in some programs, but appear sideways or upside down in others? That’s because there are two different ways a photo can be rotated, and not every program is on the same page.

Yikes, it sounds kind of complicated. Thanks for the explanation though.

Well not so far, but thanks..I might just have to give up on it. Although, my son works on computers he is supposed to come over Saturday. He might be able to figure it out.

I'm no guru, but have trouble mixing Apple products with my computer, an hp. I'd just use the iPad, put your photo on myLot from it. Then, you can do your myLotting form your computer.

No, I don't have the ipad..it was sent to me via Ipad..but the format shouldn't matter I don't think once it's on the computer..but I could be wrong. I am not guru either and so far I haven't gotten it work right. It's too bad because it is a cute picture.
