Plagiarism

I can't seem to find a way to contact anyone who runs myLot. The report option doesn't let you give a reason for why you are reporting it. I recently read a post that was plagiarized from another source on the web, and I don't know what to do. I hate when people do that. It isn't that difficult to write a post. It doesn't have to be an entire biography of a well known author ripped from a history website.
Who wants to read that anyway? I would rather hear about your day. Writing for me is cathartic and I love to hear feedback. I like talking to all of you lovely people. What is the point of plagiarizing articles? MyLot is so much more fun than that.

i believe you should press that 'report' tab and send a message to @GoAskAlice" with the accompanying link of the plagiarized article and the discussion.

@myklj999 that is why we should also help the admin by reporting discussions that are plagiarized.

Report it and then message @GoAskAlex to let him know why. Though you might check his discussion as I believe he made one regarding reporting and what to do etc.

It's @GoAskAlice and, since the Admin is a male, he has said that he's "more of an Alex, really". Of couse, that's not his real name. 'Go Ask Alice' is a quotation from a song (and was actually the title of a book about a young girl's experiences).

@owlwings Thank You. I remember his spiel about the quotation form a song and being "more of an alex". I am not sure where I got it in my head that he had changed his username when he just changed his display name.

@cpefley i suggest you go to the wall of goaskalice and send a message to him. (there are 3 boxes at the side of the avatar---"follow", "send message" and "block".

I agree. I prefer reading and responding to real life post. I mean from our own experience, perspective and knowledge. Not something that was copied and paste stuffs.

I have also came across with some discussions that I believe was plagiarize and i just tick the report button.
