Hello everyone.
I need a coffee break. Yes. I need to stop drinking coffee for a while. Yesterday, I started feeling thw uncomfortable pain at the higher part of my stomach. The pain gradually becomes a bit unbeatable.
I went to ER and they injected ranitidine on my arms. I am also prescribed antacids and omeprazole. The pain is not yet totally gone but not as uncomfortable as yesterday.
Diagnosis: Gastritis with hyperacidity

Coffee might affect your stomach acidity. Ask your doctor about it.

I think I had that when I was still working and I believe it was due to stress at work. Also, because of my work. I usually had very late dinner or none at all sometimes.

@rakski Yes. I really think it was work-related due to stress.

I can drink instant coffee and coffee grounds I purchase at the grocer, but coffee shop coffee always gives me the diarrhea. I can't drink it any more.

for now, stop drinking coffee. you are now consume medicine, so better to stop for few day
and if you already feel well and want to drink some coffee, i suggest you eat something first. if you drink a coffee in an empty stomach, your stomach acid increased

Oh that is awfully painful I guess. My wife is also suffering from acid reflux which is somewhat similar with that except that her acids has affcted the upper part of her stomach and giving reflux reaction whenever she eats acidic foods and beverages. For now she is on coffee break as well because of her problem with acid reflux.
