Our son just returned from closing on his new house. We are so happy for him and his bride!
I haven’t seen the inside, yet, except for photos. So in a few minutes we will all go.
It’s a beautiful house from the outside. It’s on a culdesac with a beautiful flat yard that sits on over 1 1/2 acres. From photos, I saw a beautiful kitchen, office, family room, living room, dining room, full basement, attic, all the bathrooms, bedrooms, bonus room, and 3 season room.
Our son has things to do to make it his own.
Oops, time to go see it! I’m so excited for them.
Btw, they will move out of our house tomorrow.

It is exciting for them to have a place of their own, and exciting for you to have your own place and refrigerator to yourself.

Yes, it's finished, but they want to reconfigure it after they furnish the house and do some projects here and there. The furnishing can take 500 years. lol. Truly, they have so many huge rooms and a giant bonus room, that they may never have to go to the basement.

I ran out of the house without a thing! I even left the laptop on. The only furniture he has is his bedroom set and a bed for the guest room. As the years go by, I will take some photos. Trust me when I say it is beautiful! Even the closets and pantry made me drool. lol

Thank you, Judy! We wandered and were very impressed. It's absolutely huge and gorgeous inside. The land is flat and well landscaped. We are so happy for the kids.
We will keep the kitties until the contractors and other noise makers are done with the work my son wants done, because the kitties get frightened from noise. I'm hoping to keep them both until we leave for Florida.

The house is amazing on the inside with high ceilings, lots of closets, two oil tanks, 2 central air conditioners, beautiful windows, and large rooms, etc.... I will take photos once he gets furniture. They just bought a couch for their den which has 2 sets of French doors, and they have their bedroom set and a guest bed. Other than that, they haven't had time to buy anything. lol

@DianneN I would love to see pictures of the kitchen. I love a good kitchen. I have watched all of the episodes of Chip and JoAnna Gaines and I love her kitchens. With a great stove, plenty of storage and a double oven and a great island a girl can't go wrong.

@Shellyann36 I've watched many of their shows, too, and loved them. Lol!!!
Our son has the island, granite, range top, double high end wall ovens, a Sub Zero large refrigerator freezer, tons of white cabinets, and my favorite, a huge pantry. My kitchen is very similar, but a lot smaller compared to the kids' kitchen. He plans on changing it up a bit, but not too soon.

Thank you! They are so thrilled to be there. I couldn't believe how huge it is. There is more house than meets the eye until you are inside. I loved the high ceilings, crown molding, tray ceiling in their bedroom, kitchen pantry, high-end appliances, and all the closets the most. All the bedrooms are large, and that bonus room is so huge, that I don't know what they will do with it. They have wireless heating and cooling, with two oil tanks and two a/c units. The landscaping is awesome and they have a gorgeous brick patio off the screened in porch. It will take them 100 years to furnish. lol. I wish you could see it!

@infatuatedbby Thanks, Michelle. They are back here now and we were discussing it. I told them not to rush into anything, but they won't spend or decorate like I do, because the cats and future kids will ruin expensive furniture,- so said my son. I really am hoping for more grandkids, and so is her mother. We texted about it earlier. We are just so thrilled for the kids and wish them much health and happiness in the years to come.

They are, and even more excited to have their privacy!. We just bought them a couch for their den and her parents bought them a kitchen table and chairs. We paid, the kids chose. The only other furniture they have is their bedroom set from my son's last home and a guest bed. It will take them years to furnish it.

@LadyDuck Yes, that's all they need. My son is here now visiting the kitties for the second time today, and told me he wants to get a dining room set. I asked him why, since no one will ever eat at his house. She's a vegan and he's a vegetarian.

@jaboUK Lol! They love it, and so do we. Just as long as they are happy and I don't have to clean it, I'm ecstatic. It's so wonderful they are so near us. Our son stopped by on his way to work to visit us and the kitties. He'll probably stop by on his way home, too. Many thanks!

@anamika161088 Thank you! He needs to have a few branches cut, because we have to duck walking to the front door. Lol! We planted one here and also have a Japanese red maple which hangs like a willow tree. It's gorgeous and not tall.

@DianneN - It looks like the perfect family home. I'm sure they will want to try to have children eventually, but who knows? Sometimes things go wrong or our kids surprise us!

I told my husband how sad I am that they are leaving us. He feels the same, but they are only two miles from us. We had such a wonderful time with them, but you are right. They need their own space and time to set up a home of their own.

@DianneN Getting the house is one thing. Filling it is entirely another. Although, it is more fun to do it slowly than all at once. Gives you something to look for when you are out and about that would make a nice addition. If you do it all at once and find something...you won't have room for it.
