One movie goer claims that she watched "Titanic" the movie starring Leonardo Di Caprio and Kate Winslet , at least 20 times when it first came out . Even though it is a great movie, I could only watch it twice because I felt too sad at the end. I couldn't even console myself by thinking - "Oh, it is only a movie" - because the Titanic disaster really happened. Do you like watching sad movies? can you name one movie that made you cry.?

The first movie that I can recall that made me cry was Beaches. I'm sure there were others along with Titanic (but I only saw that a few times)

@moeybags Its about two very close friends - then later one realized she was dying. Bette Midler and Barbara Hershey starred in it.

I like movies for many reasons. My Fair Lady and Sound of Music I watched twice and that was enough I like to watch sad movies but since after watching them the first time one gets to know the ending it would not be the same watching them again.

Titanic came out when my kids were young and I recall going to the movie theatre three times and another dozen or more times on video. The kids love it.

The very first movie to make me cry was Rebel Without a Cause starring Lee Marvin. It was about a misunderstood teenager, and boy, did I feel misunderstood. Since then there have been a lot of movies that made me cry.

Yes Rebel without a cause was about misunderstood teenagers . So you felt as if you could relate to it being yourself a misunderstood teenager. James Dean was one of the stars in it.

one love story that i like watching over and over again is not actually a very sad movie. it is somewhat comedy-drama. i shed a tear watching it because it is the favorite film of my late mother, and this is "ever after", starring Drew Barrymore.

@Kandae11 yes, and that story has some amusing scenes like Leo da Vinci with his invention of shoes that can walk on the water. the Cinderella story imbibed in the movie is so realistic, so unlike what i presented in fairy tale books

Several, the original Love Story was a major tear jerker, along with Terms of Endearment and The Way We Were. Oh and if you really feel like crying get your hands on the made for TV movie Brian's Song..now if that doesn't get you in the heart strings you are likely made of stone..

Once was enough for me (re: that specific movie). I could watch detective & spy movies over and over (that is, if I had forgotten how they went), but romantic movies with loving and parting scenes, ouch, not for me! (I avoid sad movies or sad anything with all cost, now, if they were sad and haunting piece of music or poems, THAT would be different again .)

@YrNemo They say, women are complicated and hard to understand, I think the same goes for men - hard to understand. For example - a man might have the most beautiful woman for his wife - yet he cheats on her.
