I had my massage theraphist come over to our house. I have been suffering from back pain and it is quite unbearable. What a relief I am feeling so much better now. I need to have massage therapy 1-2 times a month to manage my backpain and overall body pain. I'm glad I didn't follow the pain relievers prescribed by the neurologist I was seeing. It's good that we now have both professional medical treatment as well as holistic alternative medicines. "Health is not Valued till Sickness Comes" - Thomas Fuller

You remind me of getting one. Lately, I also feel discomfort at my lower back. I will experience it only during bedtime. It must be a sprained muscles. I'm not sure though. The lying positions may have something to do it as well. It's uncomfortable. When I move, I need to calculate my movement transferring to another side. It's not really painful but really uncomfortable or it's maybe a dull ache.

I don't call my massage therapist when it is still tolerable. And then regret when it is too painful. LOL

@yoalldudes Common practice here. We're good at tolerating the first sign and symptom.

He can't figure it out. Gave me gabapentin. Anyway that was a long time ago. I had MRI and thankful it's not anything serious like tumor or cancer. It's manageable now as long as I manage stress, sleep and eat well and of course have my massage therapist around.

@yoalldudes Gabapentin is an anticonvulsant and anti-epileptic medicine. Have you had any history before?

@rakski I don't that's why I just took a few and stopped. It didn't help me at all and would likely harm me.

Nice that you have personalized masseuse to cater to your personal needs. It is better to have that because she knows how to treat your ailments.

@yoalldudes so you are good now. I don't like massage because it is painful for me, much as others feel relax I feel I am beaten up.

My therapist, "Ate Liza" is my savior. Her method relieves me from my backache suffering.

@yoalldudes I'm sorry that you have to deal with any pain. It does get frustrating to deal with it often. I love getting massages. I get back aches often too. In fact my lower back is a bit achy right now. Would so love a massage but might just use my heat pack for it instead. Saves me some money that way. Nice and relaxing too.

Yes that is right. Thank you for reminding me. A hot compress is also said to relieve back pain.

Massage helps blood circulation but I am afraid to have it done as I am not sure how they will handle my back as I have a couple of fractured vertebrae in there (lol)

Have you tried seeing a physiotherapist instead of a masseuse?

I think it is fine to have a body massage from a masseur. But then, it depends on what massage style had been administered. Taking into consideration what causes the low back pain.

I don't exactly know the method but it is definitely therapeutic, not just regular massage. Lucky me.

My 10-month old son massages me every morning with baby kicks. Lucky you to have Ate Liza in your life. It's hard to find a masseuse who can do a very well massage.

Once in a while I got my body massage by reflexologists and its really relaxing when it soothes our body.
