Hi Mylot, howz ya doin?

I'm dealing with eye trouble so I'm not on as much as I used to be and boy do I miss you guys. I hope to be able to catch up with all of you once that vitreous fluid goes back to normal. Oh yeah, it's a lot hotter this year than I can remember for this time of year. Deserts are hot to begin with so when it continues to be hot it seems normal except here August is usually only in the high 90s(f) not the triple digits and rarely is it as humid as it has been. I took a screen shot of the monthly temps for August, at least my bday was below 100(f) but boy, 100(f) is usually rare this time of year. I put a red outline around the average temps, what a difference, right? Oh well, at least it wasn't cold, for that I am grateful. So, how have all of you been lately?

Happy belated birthday . I hope your eyes are improving. I'd hate those temperatures, I'd find it most uncomfortable.

Thank you I can't tell if it is improving or my brain is compensating but it's able to see as long as I don't try to read. I go back to the doc on Sept 14 and hopefully he can determine if there is anything he can do. It's my understanding that this is a normal course of events for the elderly and I've been denying that I'm elderly

Yes, it sure is @jaboUK at least as a senior citizen I am comforted by the fact that I now have discounts on necessary items .... there's a deep discount on Depends but as yet I have not taken advantage of that ........ do they have that brand in the UK?

I hope your eye trouble is gone now. I used my unit converter to convert 90 F to Celcius, since here we measure temperature in Celsius. Usually our temperature is just on the 28 Celcius, so 90 F is 32.222 and humid, so it's really so much hotter than the climate here. Since September came the weather is a bit colder now. ANd i Like it when it is cold, but not so cold though.

I like the heat but I don't like humidity, lately it has been much more humid than I am accustomed to. Today it was 33.333(c) which is nice and comfortable but soon it will be a few degrees higher. It probably will not get cold here until late November.

Holy cow, looks like the Great Spirit switched the weather around some. We've been getting rain on occasion which is unusual this time of year. Thanks, I'm learning to cope with the vision problems but hopefully it'll clear up in a couple months.

We are still having some hot weather as well. The rain seems to have subsided for now but fortunately, the water levels are remaining up!

It's still pretty warm here too, mostly it's been in the mid to upper 80s which we call a cool front down this way and we've actually gotten rain a few times, boy was that a pleasant surprise. I get the feeling that this year the Great Spirit will give us snow, I am not looking forward to that.

Thank you so much, I've heard that sometimes it takes a few months for that fluid to correct itself which is what I hope happens. I just wish that doctor had given me some instructions as to what I should or shouldn't do. Sometimes they seem to think their patients should guess what to do.

Still looking. I have to watch what I do in life to some degree sincei have what's called vitreous displacement. That means the fibers that holds the eye to the optic nerve shrank enough to separate completely from the optic nerve. If the fibers shrink from the retina then I could go blind, although a surgery can be performed to rectify that . Since your having vitreous side effects I'm wondering if you had that surgery or it was something else?

I had a hole in my retina which means the vitreous fluid was leaking out of the retina a creating distorted vision. The surgery performed closed the hole and now I can see much better.

Hmmm, that's right. Our nights are still in the upper 60s and 70s for now but if it starts to cool down it'll probably happen right about 5am, the desert here is somewhat different from your's

I am no longer sure what weather I like more these days. Summer tends to be with too many uncomfortable warm/hot days, winter and its horrible cold and rain always make me sad somehow. Spring & Autumn both seem to be there but not really there... All the best with your eyes.

You have a really good point about the summer/winter thing, neither has been overly comfortable these last few years. Thank you, hopefully the problem will heal.

Your eyes - gosh, I hope they go back to normal soon! The weather has been decent here - I'm actually surprised. The mornings and evenings are cool. The day is still "hot" but we're only talking 90s which is really not all that hot considering it's August. But maybe it's not the end . . . if it stays like this and actually becomes autumn, I will be very surprised. Kids are in school - some things easier, some things harder.

I keep hoping we'll get back into the 90s like it's supposed to be, the triple digits usually happen in June and after that it's in the high 90s. I hope CA doesn't get anymore fires, did they ever catch the bozo who set some of them?

Wait, it's muddy but not from rain? Did a pipe burst? Oh lordy, I hope you're not having plumbing problems, plumbers are so damn spensive anymore. I miss bein here, but at least if I space it right I can see without eye strain for short periods, I've got eye drops that hopefully will help me heal. For me it's been sticky, I'm not used to getting more than 30% when the temps are in the triples and lately it's been about 35% or even 40%, probably not nearly as bad as what you have to endure.
