I was working at the back of the house this afternoon when all of a sudden there was a lot of air traffic going on... choppers everywhere. But I was busy so just kept on working.
Then the phone rang. My friend called from Hamilton, asking "Do you know what's going on in your city?"
"No..."

Yes it is. I remember when I was volunteering at the policing centre in Hamilton back in the early 2000s, the officer in charge was relating a conversation he had at a police convention in Detroit, I think. The topic was homicide and they couldn't believe that there had been only six (6!) the previous year in Hamilton, and I think only one was a shooting.

Wow! It reached Switzerland. Yes, three were wounded (two seriously) and the suspects are still at large.

Two suspects, both black males about 20 years old, still at large as of 4pm Friday.
Someone was murdered here a few days ago as well. Little towns like mine hear less awful news like this then other towns.

When I saw this, I remembered a friend had posted something early on FB about the shooting that the media seemed to be ignoring . . . I thought it was this, but it was apparently another shooting in Cincinnati. It's crazy how many shootings happen these days!!! In your city - too close to home!!
