The super typhoon Mangkhut arrived here yesterday. Since it is a super one, so we continously received warning messages from the government. I ever felt a little worried to it because it was claimed it was a super typhoon and probably the biggest for years.
We mainly stayed indoor yesterday and therefore actually we didn't feel horrible. It just rained outside and occasionally heard the wind blows. The power, water, internet connection, phone, TV etc. still work without problems.
Today it is even sunny and the super typhoon is already gone. How surprising it is We expected something horrible. It didn't bring a lot of damages except some big trees are down as you can see from the images. Our city is very lucky as usual

I think it didn't go further north but went westward more like it reached Yunan area. I can still see the eye of the storm but id looked different and much more weakened. It may be because it hit land already that is why the wind and rains also weakened over there. We on the other hand was hit badly by the typhoon. Although my place is not badly hit the northern part of our island was devastated heavily by it. Many electrical poles went down and some highlands either got flooded and landslides as well.

@youless Yeah I am not good at China geography. LOL I just know that somewhere there near Vietnam is Yunnan province. The last time I saw the track of the storm it almost reached Northern Vietnam but it is much disorganised and looks weak indeed. I think it will be her last place to reach.

Well, we have experienced the wrath of super typhoon Mangkhut over the weekend. Our area was not directly hit but we have experienced nonstop rain accompanied by some howling winds for like 6 hours. Plus, the power went out for a couple of hours (due to strong winds). Gladly, you are all safe in there.

That's good news, that it's over and hasn't caused much damage. In the Philippines quite a few people were killed.

You're lucky indeed because the typhoon slowed down after it made landfall in our country and crossed the ocean between your country and ours.
