It Was A Fabulous Dinner

I am trying to change how we eat, both of us needs to drop a few pounds, Tony more than me. So, I cut down on meals that bread is a must. Garlic bread that is.
Tonight I went for spaghetti, but healthier.
Instead of a huge loaf of wonderful french style bread loaded with butter and garlic, I opted for whole wheat bread with a little butter and plenty of garlic.
I love angel hair pasta but... but... I made zucchini noodles.
My sauce was loaded with mushrooms, bell peppers, onions and tomatoes. Garlic and basil. I even added 1/4 pound of ground beef.
I enjoyed dinner, even the healthy way.
What did you have for dinner?

Left over vegetable soup. It is now all gone. I really need to eat better, but I love my pasta and taters.

@andriaperry Did he put it on after the chemo? Most I have known lost weight with it.
But I know if I cut out the cola I would lose some. That is another thing I enjoy. Thankfully no diabtes, I would probably go nuts.

@wolfgirl569 While on chemo, see.... you don`t know about me! The doctor told him/ me I was always there, not to lose weight, he was a healthy 230 pounds and in 2 years he has gained 40 pounds! While on chemo I fed him high calorie high fat foods. there one month he did not want to eat much but I could always get him to eat ice cream. Although he ate small meals they were high fat and he had ensure that I told him he HAD to drink once a day, I bought high protein. And you know they sleep a lot when on chemo so he gained. Another plus was he did not take very much pain medication, I helped naturally.

I got one of those spiral cutters years ago, one of those $10 jobs from as seen on t.v. I nip the end and twist and they shoot out the side. I drop them in boiling salt water for about 30-45 seconds.

@andriaperry Oh yours is awesome then. I got one not too long ago but I am sorry I bought it now as the butternut squash noodles that I like to make the squash is at least $6 for one..very expensive to make a few noodles.

Spaghetti and salad at the gospel singing. I skipped dessert. I had had two sweets today and that was plenty.

Sounds both enjoyable and healthy. Did you notice that I did NOT mention rice in my most recent dinner post? I love rice but have been trying to eat fewer carbs. My young riend and I have been swimming a lot, and I'm getting my macho man chest back. I have been up to 191 lbs, and want to settle in at 178.

I had roasted chicken, mac and cheese, potato chives and muffins from Kenny Rogers. I have finished my meal despite having buffet lunch today.
