Hello everyone.
Last night my father in law was rushed to the hospital near our area. He has fever for the past days and have many bacteria in his urine as his urinalysis said. But what prompted us to rushed him at the ER was because he was becoming a bit disoriented and dies not want to eat and he just wanted to sleep.
A lot of tests has been done and still awaiting of the result of some tests. But fir now, he has low sodium and potassium and a high WBC.
We are still waiting for the doctor now. But he is much better now.

the high fever is indicative of infection. the high WBC is also manifested with fever, sometimes even accompanied with chills. if disoriented, it is possible that he has low oxygen content in his brain

Hope your father-in-law gets well soon. My older sister just got out of the hospital late afternoon yesterday too. She was admitted last Sunday for not having the appetite to eat for several days and she had cough. It was only on Tuesday that my other older sister called me up to inform me of the hospitalization of our other sister. My nephew's wife texted me awhile ago informing me that they're now on their way to our home city. She stayed with my older sister in the hospital.

@rakski Thanks, Ms. Rach. For low potassium, let your father-in-law eat bananas.

Sorry to know that you had to admit your father in law in a hospital. Generally in such conditions where we have low potassium and sodium levels the patient develops nausea, vomiting, headache, confusion, loss of energy, drowsiness , fatigueness, restlessness, irritability depending upon the severity.
Now since he got diagnosed with the problem, he will be given the electrolytes and required treatment to check the UTI.
I sincerely pray the Almighty to bless him and wish him a speedy recovery. Hope he will get well soon!
